My mavic is shipped but still showing pending on your site. May be an issue with partial order shipment completed (the mavic shipped buy my extra batteries and props are shipping later). My app says pending as well so it may be how you are viewing/DJI is displaying the data.

Wow, you're right. Good question. I'm sure that's exactly what the issue is. I'm going to take a look manually and see how it differs from regular orders. Thanks for the report.

Updates (finally back in action, after a crazy US election):

* the Orders form officially supports 6 new merchants - Apple, Amazon, Amazon UK, Best Buy, Newegg, and B&H. If you or someone you know ordered from any one of those, please have them submit their order details! More coming soon (please request a reseller you think is statistically relevant)

and what i don't undesterstand is: how can they write "wait untill shipping"..

dji told them a date?

another suggestion for a diagram (or a simple aggregate table): number of shipped units per day.
This will probably only make sense for those orders, where the initial historic data was "pending".

Yes, the number of shipped units per day is in the main chart at http://www.dronehome.io/dji_track/orders at the top. If you hover over the blue you will see the total number of units shipped for that day. Let me know if this is good enough, or if you had other ideas.

I didn't get across what I was thinking of.

The chart gives me the info of how many units that were ordered on day X have already been shipped - regardless of when the shipping took place. I find that very useful and perfectly usable as it is (well my order date is not included, as I was late, but anyways...).

As you started to track historic changes in the shipping status you could aggregate all state changes from pending to shipped regardless of order date. What we are seeing is, that DJI follows the first-come first-served principle to a certain degree, so for me it would be interesting to see how many units they shipped on day X, how many on day X+1, X+2, .... We could (maybe) see a trend of ramping up production/shipping capabilities and might be able to project production and shipping more accurately.

Yeah, that's true.

You can see recent shipments (by day) at http://www.dronehome.io/dji_track/orders/recent and this will give you a send of the daily shipments (and when during the day).

We're planning to put a graph there showing # of shipments by day per country.

We only just started getting data for shipments by day, so right now you will only see data for the last 4 days or so. And this is why you're not seeing a chart of that yet.

Update!

* FedEx package tracking (if FedEx is set as shipping company and a tracking number is provided)
* now manually editing/removing Order Times on orders that do not include the full UTC timestamp -- there were a lot of orders that only had the DATE, and this is not useful to everyone in the system -- we are removing the Order Time from the entry for anyone who did not set a proper DJI Order ID / Phone Tail pair or did not set an email address (so we can contact them) -- for those that did, we're contacting any with email addresses to provide the full Order Time
* enhancements to orders from other Merchants (Amazon, Best Buy, etc)
* bug fixes (of course)

A big thank you to everyone for their enthusiasm here, in the other threads, on the other forum sites, on the DroneHome Slack chat, and all of the ideas and contributions so far. This has been quite a positive experience in the eye of a real challenging from DJI. Excellent contributions from @bieh and @danmalone, and others too!

Also, I wanted to thank @omniblast and @Mayoo for their support in this effort, and for being so collaborative between the spreadsheets and the site.

And of course, DJI for allowing us to have these long shipping threads and collaborate in this way. Hat tip to @DJI-Ken and @TahoeEd.

For now this tool/page is depressing because I see how few of them ahead of me have actually shipped. =(

More orders are shipping. 10 so far on the Recently Shipped page.

While I realize it isn't a very scientific method it's based on only info we have. DJi seems to be shipping on average about 12 units a day to people on the list.   With about 330 people ahead of me on the list, if they keep delivering at the same rate (big IF) then I should see mine shipped in about 28 days.

added my data to the list. seems more aircraft only options are shipping sooner than the bundles ja? its been 6 weeks for me so i expect my bundle to ship next week... :p


Off topic:  

in other news, I have a few pre orders in other aspects of my life and im happy to report (because you cats care.. :p)  one such product i ordered back in march of this year is finally in my grubby little hands as of yesterday,,, so a couple months to me for this product aint nothing...

That's assuming 7 days a week shipping Patterns show that they only ship about 4 days a week, with the other days going to ramp up (perhaps)...

EDIT...Maybe its a partial order fulfilled not the Mavic itself?

My order was created on 2016-09-29 21:06:43 (UTC) , but I do not see it in the line up of orders created, or any type of status.

little over 6weeks left in the year would be nice to have it before the years out but we shall see http://www.dronehome.io/dji_track/orders has been helpful just wish more people used it so we'd have a better picture of when the unit might arrive.

They are using rucaptcha (https://github.com/huacnlee/rucaptcha).

And since you are also using ruby:

I would recommend switching from ruby to something else more powerful.
