They're running low on propellers, there's a big propeller shortage so they can't ship out, why do you think they come with the top ones removed

I've also heard they are low on drone juice and mavic powder, which would make production very difficult

This article quotes an email that is not verified to be true or even from a DJI employee, but doesn't even discuss the very apparent shortage of Mavic powder?  Very strage, Drone Juice International is a great company they're just low on drone juice

I heard that it was a shortage of bytes to make the firmwares. I mean, you need a LOT for each machine. Thousands I think.

Also air is in short supply. No good having props if you've no air to push offov.

True, also I read in high school that whenever there is a typhoon in China all antennas in the area turn into turtles.  So that could've screwed the Mavic up real bad

Source?  Are you kidding?  Your on this forum, you have to see their messages.  Also, companies ship their products because they were purchased, not for non-existent damage control.

It has been posted several times. Do you have a link where DJI officially refutes the legitimacy of the email from their employee?

You could tell it was fake by reading it and most people can? How did you reach that conclusion?

Considering how this product release has went and DJI's [lack of] granular response, I am trying to figure out why I am not understanding this article like most people.

I imagine they delete the post to prevent crazy people from reading random posts and immediately assuming it's fact. DJI said, in the exact same post, it was not from them.  What blows me away is how easy it is to fool people.  Brand new account randomly posts an email without any header information, and the writer of the email spoke perfect English and used perfect grammar.  Rather than thinking something is fishy - people just ate it up.  Gizmodo even picked it up and wrote an article on a completely fabricated post.  It's so ridiculous it's sad.

Lol I know I am kidding, I have been making a few terible ones myself, the funny thing is that would actually be a cool feature for a drone so that you didn't get the shadow in the video

The real reason is, that they are not allowed to ship all the ordered mavics. If they would do that, and everyone would be flying them, they would take up all the GPS signals and there would be none left for boats, planes, cars and so on... That is why they took all the money from pre-orders, to build more GPS satellites and now they need to wait to get them into orbit.

Edit: lol, got a downvote for a topic where we can have some laughs and stressrelief? That user has some reall stress I think

Chris, I don't think so.  Truth is in the eye of the beholder. While the originator of the email was a DJI employee what they stated was not DJI's position. Are we allocating units between our dealers and users, yes we are. We are trying to be fair to both of our customers. Did we only ship 50 units, no that is a total fabrication. We continue to ramp up our production to meet the continued demand that extends beyond our initial launch. We want to thank our customers and users. Revel in those that have theirs and be patient if you are still waiting for yours. You will have yours soon.

I am sorry Ed, I was hoping it the intent of this post would be clear.  It's satire.  It probably doesn't conform to forum rules or really even provide value to your customers, but in the face of so many people freaking out so hard, what else is a simple drone pilot to do?  Sit back patiently and wait for his shipment?

(Yes, that is exactly what I should be doing...)
