Just wondered if it's ok to leave the gimbal clip and cover on when I'm connecting just to upload images to my mobile? Obviously I need the Mavic itself powered on to connect.  Or is that not a good idea?

I wouldn't do it. When brushless motors are powered, mechanical resistance can cause them to overheat.

Yeah this is what i thought. It's just a slight ball ache to unclip it all just to connect to it

I recommend getting a micro sd card reader that connects to your mobile device. They are available for Android and iOS devices. It's also a lot faster than downloading over the air.

Yeah I will do. I was holding out for the Quik key GoPro are supposed to be releasing. Which is ironically delayed!
