All I did was just call them to find when it was shipping and they said they would give me a 100 off for my inconvenience. And they still didn't tell me when I would get it. I order oct 9th. Oh also they pre  authorized charge my credit card.

I called them about 3 times asking about what is going on with the mavics. I called yesterday and the nice lady offered the discount. I said Thank you kindly. Hope she is right about my order being on track for November though...

I ordered from Apple because they are really good with logistics and well experienced in fulfilling high demand products.  The rep I spoke to said this is typical and is a good sign and he explained why they charge twice.

Also, Apple is probably the last person on earth DJI will want to piss off.

100$ off eh? Ima pick up the phone right now!   Ordered my Mavic October 9th, and still with a " Processing " status. 100USD is still significantly more in Candian dollars.

UPDATE:  Apparently Apple in the US in much more generous than in Canada

Is there any way i could call DJI and ask for 100 off my purchase..?!?! i mean 1k is a Hefty amount to just throw away with no return.. I should be rewarded!!!

I think they are blowing smoke. I just called Apple and asked for $100 off.  She was like, it says it will ship in November... its still November. I'm sorry we can't ship it right now, but maybe you should call DJI and ask them for something for your inconvenience.  I really couldn't argue with that. It's not Apple's fault.

I couldn't argue either, just said "its worth a try".  I think previous posts are on point. Apple has huge influence as a distributor. If they said the Mavic will ship in November, DJI will have a lot a pressure to ensure that.
Apple acts as a sponsor to their advertisement, one big company to an even larger company. Just gunna wait this one out.

This crabby a** ol fart flamed me in another Apple thread for saying Apple might cut ties with DJI over this shipping fiasco.
This is his response:

"I keep seeing these posts about how pissed Apple is going to be if DJI doesn't get their $h!t together.  I seriously doubt Apple cares at all.  Mr. Apple probably just shrugs his shoulders and says "oh well, we'll sell them when they get here." This is no reflection on Apple. They are just a third party seller. Apple can only benefit from selling these on behalf of DJI even if they have to wait for months for them to arrive to the store. I've just been on my paypal and the payment has disappeared so in my panic I got on with apple and they said everything is okay and it takes 3 working days to process and keep an eye on my emails.

Apple orders? I went yesterday to an apple store in Düsseldorf (Germany) and I ask them about the mavic pro. They didn't have any clue about the mavic they didn't even know that dji has a new drone with that name.....

Called today and got my $100 off as well ::happy dance:: takes a little sting off the extended wait we're dealing with. That's $100 towards an extra battery now!

Just called Apple to see if I could get some money off my Mavic order..

Guy said he is showing that my card was authorized yesterday for the amount and that on his screen it's saying it's preparing for shipment.

My card is showing the available credit is missing those funds, but my order status is just showing "processing items".

I'll try calling again tomorrow and hope I can get $100 or whatever off.  That would be pretty sweet!  Like someone else said though, maybe Apple Canada is not as nice as Apple US with knocking some money off

I don't think I would get anything off from apple because it says ships in November and it's still November. Apples order page is currently down because they are busy, hopefully shipping mavics lol.

Tried calling again because yesterday they said it was "preparing to ship" and today they said it's only processing.  I didn't get any sympathy except they were sorry for what the other person said.  Ugh I want money off!

Apple just hit my credit card with a pending charge for the third time an hour ago.

Each time this happens I get excited, then frustrated when the order status still says November.

For interest sake - Is it normal that Apple repeatedly redoes the Authorization charge as it falls away.

Apple did an authorization charge on my card ages ago when I ordered, but that charge fell away a few days later and they never did another authorization charge. I assume thats normal?

My bank account has had the funds twice ring fenced by Apple UK only to be released again a few days later.

Mine has had it done twice already too.  The first guy I spoke to (the same one who mistakenly told me it was preparing for shipment) saw that they did two authorizations.  The second person I spoke with said that they did an authorization originally, but the funds have been taken this time.  Curious to see if it actually posts to the account this time around.

I have never seen so many people (including myself) so excited to have their money taken away

I got charged on my credit card around October 20th, with the "preparing for shipment" status according to the Apple agent. However, it's been consistently "Processing" on my apple account since I placed my order. I feel as though everyone inquiring through apple is told that 'its shipping soon' BS for customer satisfaction.

Still no news from Apple about the expected delivery dates for those who already pre-ordered and are expecting a delivery in November... I wish Apple could give an update to at least confirm if they still have the plan for delivering in this month...

Apple just hit my CC up again. Still processing order in my Apple account. Something should be happening soon???!!!

Unfortunately I don't have any new news. I have called Apple about 4 times in the last week. I keep being told that my order is preparing for shipment even though my Apple account status states "processing items".No tracking has been issued? My CC has been pre authorized for the 3rd time since I ordered on the 16th of October. This is getting Frustrating. {:4_177:}
