I'm inquiring with our R&D team with this and I should have further information for you shortly.
From what I've found through some testing is that if you place the unit upside down earlier on, then it will give you a green check mark and still allow you to perform the other five positions before giving you the "complete" option. From what I've seen, there does not seem to be any difference in the accuracy of the IMU readings whether or not you perform the upside down position. Since the Go app does not require for the unit to be upside down, this does seem to be a more optional position when using the Assistant 2 software. I'm checking with R&D to verify the latter.
If you are a completionist, sort of speak, I would recommend placing the unit upside down at any point during positions 1-5. As I mentioned in another thread, you are able to perform these positions in an indiscriminate order and still receive a successful calibration. Either way, as long as you get a "complete" notification and the IMU data is within its appropriate standards, then you would be fine. |
