Can anyone help me as im after some advice on buying a laptop what can handle editing 4K Video from my P4?
Any recommendations?

Quad core i5 or i7 with at least 8gm of ram would be ideal. Also, needs a decent graphics card and a screen on the bigger side is always nice but not necessary.

I have a dual i7 2.2ghz. It works but definitly lags a little so I'd recommend a better processor than that.

Probably a 13-inch MacBook Pro would do the job

9th or 10th Gen Intel core i7 with at least 16gb of Ram would be ideal. Also, needs a graphic card of 6gb NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 was required to edit 4k videos. The laptop battery also matters a lot in video editing.
I am using 10 Gen Intel core i7 with 16gb of Ram and 6gb of graphic card. The editing was pretty smooth.
It all depends on your budget. You can also use 9th Gen Intel Core i7 if you have low budget.
But 10th Gen is recommended.
