Hello all

What is the highest you can fly with a p3s?

Are the copper antenna boosters any good?

Is it worth investing in a new wifi adapter/aerial extender?

Thanks in advance

The P3 could easily reach 1km, but the GO app restricts it to the max altitute of 500M.

You are talking distance correct? Not altitude. As already said 500M is max height from take-off point.

Max height is 500m from launch point.  Max ceiling is rated at 6000m.  So to fly at 6000m you need to take off at least at 5500m.

I often fly around 2000m to 3000m plus altitudes due to where I live.  MAx distance depends on a number of factors such as being in an area free of interference from wifi and other things. I also have an Argtek Antenna and have flown distance of 4.55km or 15000 feet in good conditions.

You can need a booster for height if like me you need to fly 400m height just to get through thick clouds to take video's. Saves on hiking.

Legally implies a law to that effect. Could you point me/ link me to that law?

400' isn't currently law on the books, however, it is strongly recommended.

Altitude testing flights especially are a risk to the hobby as they start entering manned air traffic airspace.

Model aircraft enthusiasts stayed unregulated for a very long time because we had a gentlemans agreement with the FAA (and the AMA) and for the most part pilots did so to avoid exposure.

With UAV's becoming so popular, we have had many people who ignored and didn't respect this agreement.  As a result, we saw a lot of risky behavior and now regulations.  The more we continue to ignore these, the more likely it will be made into an official law and the harder it will be to enjoy our hobby.

Legally there's nothing stopping people, but if you like what we do and don't want it ruined, then just stick to the recommendations.
