I want to share my recent cruise experience with my Phantom 4.    I went on a cruise with Celebrity in Japan/Korea/China.  I checked all the local by-laws prior to the trip and took all the safety precaution for air travel.   Sadly, my drone was confiscated when I embarked on the ship. The explanation provided by the security officer was that they have to comply with port authority of the individual ports and not with the city by-laws.  Fortunately, I was able to capture some video in Yokohama before boarding and after the cruise in Hong Kong.

The last sentence confirmed he got it back. Maybe they've had problems with port authorities before.

This is not the first time this has happened, another member reported having his aircraft confiscated by the ship security people as well. However I think it was in another part of the world.

Yes, they gave it back to me at the end of the cruise.

When the ship was sailing into the port in Busan South Korea,  I saw another Phantom 4 flying along the ship.

A lot of shipping companies are worried about people photographing and videos their operations - legal and perhaps otherwise - and port owners who depend on these ship owners use "security" and "terrorism" as strawman style arguments. I hope in the future you vote with your wallet and not use the same cruise line again.
