I tested the version (75) (NOV 06 2016) works as well. Just remove the current version of DJI-GO and install V75 instead of current V77 and wait for working version.

Mine 75 and works well, but don't forget to switch off the automatic update in the App manager for DJI Go until the new firmware is coming.

So....are we getting an update for this?

Yes, we'll fix it through a DJI Go update

Two DJI go app updates later and they still haven't fixed this...

They only care about the glorious iPhone devices.

Just updated to latest DJI O, still the same, no active tracking.

Same problem here. Active track no longer working on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge +. Worked excellent a couple of weeks ago and now nothing. Draw a box around subject to track doesn't even capture the subject. Whats going on DJI???

I've had my DJI Osmo mobile for about three weeks now, One Of the biggest features I was looking forward to using is active track. and yet it still hasn't been fixed what the F!
It looks like I'll get my Mavic pro in the mail which I've been waiting for for over two months before I get active track working on my Osmo..

Just do as Ramo says, downgrade to 75, and all is good.

Problem with downgrading is that some of us use the same phone for Mavic or other flight vehicles....

I just got my Osmo yesterday, and with an iPhone 5S I cannot even get it to go into active track to give me an error.   Hit the button, and it just stays in metering mode.  It never changes to active track.   Is this different than what others are reporting or is it the same?  Or am I doing something stupid? <g>

What is the ETA for officially fixing this issue. I hadn't upgraded when the update came out, but then finally got around to it.... Didn't realize there was a problem with it and went to use the active track during filming yesterday and it didn't work..... You can only imagine watching someone standing in a field yelling and swearing at their phone.... its funny now... but it sure wasn't yesterday.... fortunately pulled out my mavic and was able to track with it and get what I needed... but boy oh boy... those birds were looking at me funny........

Anyways its been nearly a month since this was reported and still hasn't been fixed....

Samsung S6, DG v3.7, Firmware 1.3.0.50

I had zero problems before this update, While your at it add a gesture mode for active tracking so I can start it away from the camera!

Sorry about it, iPhone 5s doesn't support the active tracking feature because its processor is not powerful enough to handle this.

Any news on the fix for the tracking feature on the Samsung S7? I'm waiting.

Have you tried downgrade to 75, on my s7 is all good.

Looking for update on the Active Track support for Android.  Do we have an ETA on when that feature will be fixed and working?

Just opened it from the box, did everything what's in the manual. Opened the app, ACTIVE TRACKING DOESN'T WORK!!!! Like seriously, I bought this product mainly because of active tracking option and now I cannot use it?! Seriously dissapointing, please solve that problem in the new update ASAP! Thank you!

Simple solution: uninstall dji go version 3.1.0, then download from the web the dji go version 3.0.0 and install it on the S5, S6 and other smartphones and solved problem, the genius of the active track returns to function as always. Once installed dji go 3.0.0 automatically upgrade and enjoy!

Any estimates on when a working update will take place? my phone blocks installing the old version and I'm not comfortable bypassing the warning.
edit 12/18/2016: latest update 12/13/2016 has resolved the issue for the Galaxy S5

The WHAT's NEW section says that a Livestreaming feature has been added, and I can confirm that this is the case.  So if you see that feature in the settings menu then you're on the latest version.
And I've tested it and active track now works.

Version 3.1.1 still didn't fix the problem. before the update, drawing a box doesn't do anything, after the update, drawing the box will get the active track to start but it can't find anything for some reason and gimbal just go nuts trying to find the target. I'm using Nexus 5x with android 7.1.1.

works fine here galaxy s7e.

Time to update and see what happens with the S6 Edge 6 Plus.....  Fingers crossed.

3.1.1(567) dated 13 Dec 2016 DID NOT support Active Track.  I got the message that AT was not supported in portrait mode(but the phone was in landscape mode).

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 - Seems to be fixed.  I had just purchased my Osmo when this bug appeared, so I'm not sure how well it worked before, but it doesn't seem to be as smooth and good at locking to a target as a i remember.  Granted - this could be lack of time with the feature as well.

In any case - it seems to be fixed in 3.1.1 on the Samsung Note 5

I'm using DJI Go 3.1.1.

I can't even get osmo to connect with my Note 5.  Support was not help, just rushed me to get off the phone after waiting an hour each time.  

I already have my phone in USB debug mode.  Latest app and firmware version.

Got iPhone 5s , bought osmo two days ago and thinking what to do.

Is there any chance that feature will be availiable on iPhone 5s in the future?

Also recording from front camera is not working. DJI GO app is quitting to home screen after i try recording via front camera
