To sum up the article.  Basically the same information we already have at hand.

DJI you need to delete this line from your Mavic store page "Shipping estimation: Within December on a first come first served basis." this is a total lie.

More smoke, mirrors and slight of hand. Nothing new.

Interesting article, confirms that DJI was overwhelmed with the numbers of orders it received, far exceeding any interest received for their products in the past. While they are scrambling to sooth irate customers who are awaiting orders, they are in a position that most companies would be envious of. While not into specifics of sales, he gave some indication of the magnitude of the orders, hundreds of thousands of Mavics have been ordered to date. The Mavic represents a dramatic step forward in technology and it clearly hit a sweet spot in the market with it's portability. Shipping is delayed but I for one won't be cancelling my order, I only hope that it exceeds everything that I have heard about this product.

I was out the door when I posted it and you are right he basically didn't give any real answers except that they were overwhelmed but like other customers have mentioned, you build a certain amount, they you ship those and so on.
