Thank you very much for the order!
I think shipping the filters to Canada is about $12, most of the time we end up taking a loss on international shipping to make it easier for our international customers to get our products quickly.

Thanks again for supporting our brand,

I just want to say, I've never used filters before, but after seeing videos comparing filters vs no filters for other DJI products I realized its a must have to improve video quality. I was first put way off by the roughly $99 price (6-pack), especially considering I live down in South Africa (bad exchange rate and poor postal service means DHL is a must) means its super expensive for us down here [well for me at least ].

However in my opinion, it's the active engagement of the company which justifies the price to me. I feel very comfortable spending a lot of money on a company that I can see actually engages with its customers and properly backs up their product. Its the small things that actually seem to matter in the end.

Anyways, just thought I'd throw in my opinion. Polar Pro seem to be a great company from what i've seen, and the video's show that their product is equally as great. Feeling excited to recieve my filters when they arrive.

Ordered a 3 pack on Friday too and although its a pre-order, seems at least I know when shipping will start and that it will take a couple of weeks to reach the UK. Can't help but think the filters will arrive before the quadcopter.

What about Australia. Do you have any distributor there? Also are all filter polarised or only the PL one? Thanks

Sphere Drones and Rise Above should have them Mid-December.
You can also order direct on our website, shipping to AU usually takes about 10 days with the standard method.

Let me know if you have any other questions and thank you very much for supporting our brand,

Hi Danny,

The Mavic Filter 6-Pack is $99 the Mavic Filter 3-Pack is only $49.99.

This being said, what would you recommend for a mavic that will be used primarily in highly lit and reflective light area as I plan to mostly film over the water following our boat and around the islands out in the bright sun?

The goal is to get shutter speed at double your frame rate. Generally an ND16 will handle most bright conditions and the ND16/PL helps reduce glare in addition to reducing the shutter speed to the sweet spot.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I notice that PolarPro produce cinema series and 'normal' filters for the phantoms.   What 'Quality' are the mavic filters deemed to be??

Thanks

I saw in a reply post from Polar Pro a while ago saying this uses the same "normal" glass, and not their Cinema Series Glass..
It said however, that in the future they will come out with other lenses for the Mavic (i.e. likely cinema series).

If i find the post i'll link it here.

I found it: http://forum.dji.com/thread-64763-1-1.html

Scroll quiet far down and you will see the response from Jeff at Polar Pro:

"The Cinema Glass is extremely nice, the standard HD glass is also a very high end glass.
For the Mavic, we are going to begin with our HD glass, and then roll out special editions.

They will be a pressure fit installation, they will not fall off, guaranteed.

Ahhh brilliant.  Thanks for that.  I have no doubt that even the 'Normal' glass will be high quality, and that the cinema glass will only really show improvement for serious videographers.

Can you tell me: they are press on filters.

But they are easy to remove? Or have to stress the gimbal?

Thanks

How do they fit on the cam? I guess they slip over the end yes? Or screw on?

I would suggest installing the gimbal clamp on first before installing/removing these filters.

I agree with this. Any test so far, Jeff? I've ordered the six pack.

I did see several Phantom 4 videos using Polar Pro's filters and they do look good. We just need to see a test footage from the Mavic showcasing the different filters.

They are press on, and there are different levels of grabbing strength. The further on you push them, the stronger the grip gets. With any of the levels of grip you will need to support the gimbal fully with your other hand to safely install and remove.

Jeff, there are some reports concerning ND Filters and the Mavic camera. Someone on this forum bought ND filters from Amazon but it looks like that the filters will prevent the camera from initializing on startup with the filters attached. Have you guys considered this for the Polar Pro filters?
