Hi! I just want to share how great is tripod mode coming with new DJI Mavic. This is a short and improvised clip, and I'm not a pro pilot.
VPS and Optical sensor are off. Don't try this at home (in case you have a big garage)
Great tool.

It shows how good the tripod mode is it's a pity I don't have mine yet. Now do it in sport mode

Whoa! Gutsy move there, but beautiful shot. I would have been worried that prop suction would have sucked it up into the car's headliner once it went through the window and got that close to the ceiling.

Awesome shot! I thought about something similar, but my car window is a bit small and I was certain it would be the end of "Mr Drone".
But something funky happened to me yesterday, I could not locate the tripod mode anymore, was suspecting some deactivated sensors, but if your's were off it might have been something else.

I' ve try first attempt in sport mode (don't even think about tripod ) with bad results
Tripod it's better and smarter mode

Thank you. Turbolence is a little bit tricky but not so 'heavy' like PH4 ;)

That was an awesome shot! Very creative and great use of light. I think the Mavic is going to revolutionize aerial videography and photography as more and more photographers who previously would have never tried a drone start using the Mavic.

It's in the Intelligent flight modes menu (POI, Active tracking, waypoint, etc). You can access it by tapping on quad icon on the left in the camera mode screen.

I updated the app to the version released yesterday and now tripod mode is back, happy times! Too bad the release notes are lacking info.. would like to know what they really fixed and not just "control bug when in manual focus"

Is that micro vibrations to the camera when inside the car? You can see the video become distorted? Nice pair of balls my friend!

ahahah thanks, but it is easy to do (especially if you have a dji care )
I think Micro vibrations are due to turbolence, but clip was not post stabilized in any mode, just colored and speed up in last part (tripod mode is very slow and i forgot to swith to sport )
