No more than that it's one for each country.

Why so quick to close the thread? If you are not interested don't click on the thread. Why even waste your time posting in the thread? Maybe someone has some new info or maybe some of us like to speculate while we wait.  Just read this:
http://www.itechpost.com/tags/dji-mavic-pro-shipping

and it made me wonder

Seems to be a lot of conjecture about it.  If you compare this to say the HTC Vive release it seems very similar(they had overwhelming demand in the 10s thousands, something they didn't expect. A company that has a very good reputation at getting out high quality products in mass. Likewise they kinda jumped the gun also with their production not really at anything but a trickle. I think they had their dates based on competition with oculus, like DJi may have in timing with competition.

Once HTC got things running in about 4-6 weeks it went from a trickle of deliveries and everyone complaining to 1000s of people getting them all at once. So if we can draw any parallels hopefully all the negative post will be replaced in two weeks with great movies and flying stories.

That is a good comparison. I seem to always be a few days late to the party as I was with the Vive, and now the mavic. Just like you describe, it was mostly the same story. Lots of speculation, cancellations, trash talk of HTC for their lack of info, etc. In the end, everyone got their toys and everything prior to that point was mostly forgotten.

This is something a company is going to keep very secret for competitive reasons.  But this article tried to estimate sales numbers from 2014 and came up with 416k drones.  So my guess is they had 100k pre-orders for Mavic, but that is a total guess so I could be way off.  As to how many Mavic's per day, my guess is 1k per day.

Don't know the author. Just googled "dpi shipping info" in the last 24hrs and that article popped up. I have read about that 50 dollar fee a few times in the last week but find it hard to believe to be true without more people complaining in all caps

Let's limit the scope to US-bound Mavics and assume the 100/week figure from PB Tech isn't completely fabricated.

100 units per week
~14 units per day

The hyperlink says:

DJI Mavic Pro Cancellation Almost Impossible To Do

Cancelling your DJI Mavic Pro order is not exactly impossible as it is still doable. But with a rule of having to pay an extra $50 to cover what they call as currency exchange rates charge, then it's safe to say that it's impossible to cancel your order without losing money. Since the company is based outside US, they believe that it's just fair to charge their unhappy buyers an extra $50 for technically nothing.

I cancelled with no fee, not sure what this is about?

In those leftover SD card videos from the factory, one of them you can actually see the conveyor belt moving each Phantom along. It was painfully slow. Like, maybe 1 every minute. They probably make 2-3, then take a break, and make 2 more and call it a day.

The charge, for whoever is getting one, is a foreign transaction fee from the bank or credit card that they used. It's not a charge from DJI. From what I gather, if you get that charge, you can instead talk with the bank or cc company and have them dispute the whole order so the charge gets refunded as well. I would try canceling through DJI first though, and if you do see a charge, then go speak to the bank.

Yesterday they shipped approximately 150-200 units to Chinese customers. You have to think a fair few went out to the US and Europe and maybe a few more elsewhere.
An educated guess, maybe 500-600 yesterday.

based on that math, lets say 500 a day and we have 100k orders then that means 200 days (or close to 7 months) for them to catch up.

It would be nice for them to give some details. There seems no way of seeing how many have been ordered in the US or Europe. I know some people have been quoting hundreds of thousands have been ordered, I'm not sure how accurate that is. The number for China I would say is about 10000 maybe, how many people could have ordered in the US or Europe I have no idea although it seems like a high proportion of orders are from the US.
