When i received my phantom 3 standard the cable never fit into my iphone 6. Iv seen many videos with a cable connected from the rc to a iphone/tablet etc.

Does this cable enhance any features such as wifi signal??

The cable is for something different for the P3S compared to the P3A and P3P.

For the P3S and P34K it's for transfering files from memory card to computer (the same goes for the other two P3 models) but when you have a P3A or P3P you can/must connect the RC to the mobile device and that cable is for instance not included if you have a IOS device.

WIFI is WIFI ie. no cables.

The photos you have seen are not a P3 Standard. The Standard does not have a cable connection between the RC unit and your phone, it uses only WiFi for that connection.
