I am a new Phantom user (quad 4).  I used the flight simulation and then went to fly quad 4.  It said "flight simulator running - restart aircraft".  I did that, but it still leaves me in flight simulation mode.

Try this go back into simulator carry out a flight land shut down every thing then restart all for normal flight.

I just experienced this problem, I shut down the app and it worked. But I wonder why I couldn't find a button or something on the simulator screen to exit in a more normal way... Did i miss something?

Dude, that was a miracle cure. I just got my Spark, and had a number of issues, especially with the simulator mode which constantly came up. Tried reinstalling app and it cleared everything up.

I had the same problem with my new Mavic Pro and this just saved me another few hours of swearing and pulling my hair out.
