Wow, that's a pretty high score from The Verge!!

It's no surprise, honestly there's nothing out there that even comes close to the Mavic. And the price point, it's an absolute must have.

I agree! after flying mine for the last few days it really is amazing what this little tiny drone can do...

Now if DJI would just get caught up so I can get some extra batteries lol

I know buddy, everyone wants more batteries.
They will come soon. I ordered the combo and probably won't get it for a few more weeks or more. At least I can fly them at work.
I'll make you a deal, since you've been so great and your YouTube videos are pretty cool, if my combo with 3 batteries gets here before your extra battery I'll send you one in the unopened box. Then when you get yours, just send it to me.

The Matrice 600 is DJI's flagship drone. I have no doubt that the Mavic will pull in more money than any product DJI has ever made but the big bird is the aircraft carrier of the fleet.

The author clearly panicked. 1200m and 8 minutes. OK that is generally very safe. I've tried in 5m/s wind so far.* Its OK but its small mass makes it a bit of a kite. DO NOT use the 40 mph max speed as a guide to its ability to fight wind.

He must have flown in high wind and I agree that the Mavic should NOT go on a longer flight or one over water where 1) strong wind gusts are present 2) static wind speed is more than 10-15 MPH.

I've flown an Inspire in 25mph wind with gusts so I know the difference between the craft.
**Edit- OK I'm impressed with this baby. Just tried flying in 5 m/s wind and its very very steady; somewhat unbelievable **

I had a 600 at home to test for a few months, and honestly I think it flies just as easy if not easier than a phantom. And I've flown it in pretty high winds and it did amazingly well.

unfortunately, if you look at the comments you  find many people argue that drones should be banned

I have to say what a great Drone. I have got some really nice photos and some good video and this being my first drone. Really happy with it so far.

That's for sure, I thought the M600 was a beast. You should see the AGRAS MG-1, that's a tank.
