The first time I took my Mavic out, I made the mistake of shooting 1080P 60. When I got back and look at the footage it was garbage. The image basically looked like an oil painting. I was surprised because I figured it was the same sensor as the P4, the image should be similar. I shoot 1080P 60 on the P4 quite a bit and it looks pretty good. Not ready to give up on the Mavic, after 1 shoot. So, I decided to do a few tests to see how it really stacks up with the Phantom 4.

Here are a few screen shots from video to show detail differences. I definitely think the Mavic stacks up with the Phantom in 2.7K for sure. In fact I think the Mavic is even a little less "digital" looking. All settings were the same on both cameras. Art, -1 Sharpening, -1 Contrast.

My biggest finding so far... don't shoot high speed with the Mavic. Everything else about it, I absolutely love! Just wish I could get some more batteries!
