Would this be safe to do to the Mavic for protection of rain?

I have two hexacopters, i used this on all the ESCs for one and not on the other.  So far I've had 3 ESCs on the one i used it on fail in flight (on 3 separate flights) and none on the one i didn't use it on.  Both copters have the same equipment but the one without the waterproofing has more flights.  Neither have been flown in wet conditions. Just my experience but i won't be using this technique again.

may be the next Mavic will come waterproof like Lily?

It's not recommended to add any additional substances to the Mavic.

I will not use this if it's not recommended.

That stuff is ok for rc cars and boats but not for aircraft, I use it on my rock crawler and my boat and it's great and never had a problem with it.

Rather than waterproofing the Mavic you should attach some stout fishing line as a tether so you can stop it when it tries to fly off on its own.  

i think you should try it and let us know how it works out.

Hehe... That was sort of my agenda posting this here! lol

Figured someone would do it and post the results or someone who has maybe tried it before on another drone.
