Quite frankly I'm getting tired of seeing how much the DJI direct orders are getting serviced on this forum, but yet people that support the good old hobby shop are being left in the dark!

I have been on order since 12/10 and the last communication I had with my dealer says they still have not been given a time frame to fulfill their orders!

Going to cancel if I don't have some answer by end CW 46!

You should talk to your dealer then, DJI won't comment on orders people made through dealers.  DJI already stated 7 to 8 weeks to fill all orders made up to Nov 3, so I would guess that dealers are in the same boat.

Case in point. I have spoken to them and they have not had any feedback from DJI they say. They have 90+ Mavic orders last time I checked!

DJI hasn't been communicating with a majority of their resellers...  I ordered from E ZEE through Amazon, and they were forced to cancel orders or face issues with Amazon because DJI won't give them any allocation ETAs.

You're complaining about not knowing when you ordered on October 12th? There are a ton of us on here with no idea when ours will be shipped and our orders were placed well before that. I guess everyone needs to vent.

DJI has not been communicating with anyone, most of it has been lip service.  Just because you ordered through a mom & pop seller on Amazon doesn't mean anything.  The thing is many of these small little shops on Amazon have agreed to specific terms of use with Amazon, one of them being not delaying getting the product to the customer.  You had every chance to order direct from DJI, but you thought that a reseller would get their product first before DJI sent individual orders out.  You know what DJIs response will be to all the smaller orders? Go ahead an cancel if you want, cause that is what they have been telling individuals here on these boards.  DJI knows they will still sell the product and right now, it is not that big of a deal to them if some orders are delayed or not.  They already have over $200 Million in sales just on these pre-orders, if not more.

Like I said "DJI hasn't been communicating with a majority of their resellers"...  I was referencing "mom & pop" sellers in that comment.  And it's not just "small little shops" on Amazon, but all resellers on Amazon who agree to the T&Cs.

I had specific reasons for ordering where I did.  And you're throwing around a random pre-sales figure without the ability to back it up.

100,000 to 150,000 pre-orders on a single drone, + accessories?  Most of the Mavics they are selling on the Flymore Combo, not to mention their DJI Refresh Care.  They did approximately 500,000 P4s alone in 2015?  Here is where I got my info of speculation, since DJI does not produce actual numbers http://dronelife.com/2015/04/16/ ... we-venture-a-guess/  Now with that, the company just created a drone that is small and portable and has the capability of the P4, every person that wanted a drone, but did not like the size, or the price of the P4 will turn out to buy a Mavic.  I was considering a P4 at one point, but the cost was just a little too much, so I was waiting to save more.  The Mavic came along and it fits all the requirements I wanted.  I would gather that DJI will easily sell 600,000 to 700,000 units of these drones alone next year alone.

Where did you get your 500,000 P4's in 2015 figure...?  In April of 2015 they were projecting 500,000 total drones, not P4s, for the year.

They sold over 900,000 drones in 2015, more then half are due to the Phantom 4.  This company made over a billion dollars in sales in 2015.  And that was the popularity of the P4.  So to say they would have 100,000 to 150,000 pre-orders for the Mavic is not impossible.

Stock of the Mavic Pro is expected to be with Chinese dealers and other resellers like Amazon, Jessops, etc by the end of November / Early December 2016.

I'll ask again...  Where did you get your figures?  Most estimates of drone sales (total, not just DJI, and not just P4s) are between 700-900K.

I'm not saying 100-150K pre-orders is not possible, but very unlikely.  Yet you were throwing the #'s around like they're facts.

I pre-ordered Sept 28th with Best Buy and do not have any updates, except it says Nov. 23rd. I went to BB today and had a look around, no display was setup and there was no mention of a Mavic. I didnt bother talking to anyone about it as I felt it was no use. Any idea when BB is going to get their shipments?

DJI won't even comment on when stocks will be arriving at their Official Flagship Store in Hong Kong. I highly doubt other retailers will get more info

You really don't read things.  In 2015, DJI sold over 900,000 drones alone.  Look at the bar graph from the article I posted.

The article you are referencing and the bar graph are both dated April of 2015. The article says they expect DJI to hit around 500k for that year but everything they said is pure speculation not fact because DJI does not disclose that information. The fact that the article was published and the bar graph in April, those numbers are just a guess because the year just started. And yes the bar graph image is in a folder dated 4/2015 so it is not an updated image.

It's an old article filled with disclaimers.  Either way if DJI has an estimated 70% of the market and drone sales are expected to grow at about 30% through 2020, DJI has a retarded amount of drones to make.

I just depressed myself about my wait time.  /sad trombone  ;)

And their graph doesn't match the words in the speculative article...  DJI reported US $500 million in revenue for 2014 and the article believed "It’s a very real possibility DJI does $1 billion in sales this year which would put them in position to move 500,000 drones this year alone (taking into account the company’s new, more expensive, offerings)."  They were projecting 500,000 drones, not P4s to be sold in all of 2015.

Regardless, it's all speculation from APRIL 2015, and that was my point.

I like to do more than look at pictures when reading an article.
