I have flown about 20 flight this weekend and last.  Today the deadstick happened to me at around 25 ...

Disregard.  After more flying I realize now I didn't have a deadstick problem.  What happened to me instead, I think,  was simply the obstacle avoidance system giving a false positive when flying towards the sun around dawn or dusk.  I hope this can be optimized through a firmware update as well to cut down on these occurrences.

That message was for Trey.
What is the issue you are having, and have you uploaded the DAT and VSS file of the flight to Dropbox ?

Very interesting thread - I got my second Mavic a week ago. First flight last Sunday it acted very weird, didn't want to land - at one point when I was flying straight it was automatically descending.

Second flight this Saturday - same issue, when it is up, it doesn't want to land, I hold down the down stick for a while and eventually it starts descending very slowly and then sometimes ascending etc.

Today, I took it for its third flight in a controlled space to figure out what is going on - the Mavic wouldn't descend past 50 meters . RTH wouldn't work as it says the mavic is within 0.6 meters of landing , slide to confirm (I didn't slide as it was 50 meters up). I then turned off the downward VPS, worked perfectly like it should. Turned it back on again, problem re-occurred - off fixed it.

This is my 9th DJI product this year alone - and years in business with DJI. Calibrated, IMU calib before first flight etc etc. Very odd issue as it seems the VPS system is sending a false positive.
I should also mention - I am on the latest FW.

The same issue (no reaction to stick commands; malfuntion of VPS with wrong altitude; etc.) is reported in several threads and topics in our german Mavic forums. I have got the same problems with my Mavic too.

@ DJI: It is time to put a stop to this. Do you really want to wait until one of your products cause an accident caused by software or hardware errors? This is not just a singular case of one Mavic pilot...

I find it flies perfectly without the downward VPS, which defeats the purpose of flying the Mavic ... I even did the VPS calibrations still without luck.
