You could always try the upgrade and see if any change. Although your display device seems to be the common factor if this is happening on your inspire as well.

Hi dji mindy. Is it absolutely necessary to calibrate imu, gimbal or compass after I do this firmware update , even though I have already did this before the update ? Dose a firmware update reset my current calibration ?

I may have hit a snag in the update.

Firmware part went okay.  I removed the micro-SD card prior to doing it too.  During the update the camera made a movement up and down so might help to remove guard.  At 10% of the update process (after the long download one), the lights all went red on the bird and it seemed stuck, but it finally moved on and finished.

Restarted bird and went to check Flight Log in Assistant 2 on a PC.  The "Save to Local" blue button was dim and I couldn't select any logs.  There is some unexplained round button to the right of the "Save to Local" button.  I don't know what it is for, but I pressed it thinking it might be "Save to Cloud" (Needs clarification as to what it is for??) and got the spinning wheel.  Spinning wheel has been turning for 20 minutes now and the internal fan is on high speed.

Anyone know what that button is doing?  Afraid to disconnect the thing now.

i updated and went out and flew it, seemed fine, i only did my imu gimbal compass few days ago, do i need to do it all again? as it flew ok

yes I would like to know the answer to this as well ?

My question is, why should I do this at all? My bird is flying well with no troubles. My experience with updates to anything is less than satisfactory, so again, tell me why I should upgrade. My rc has been telling me there is a firmware upgrade for awhile but I have not done it. Why should I if bird flying well and video is great and I am very happy with what I have?

Don't then. You will only miss out on the new firmware for the batteries, and whatever other fixes they may have applied.

Still cant sync flight log after this update , and no tripod mode

Guys my flight for my honeymoon is tonight. Should I update or just wait till I get back? Will I run in some problems if I dont update. I'm worried
I just flew this morning without any updates and it runs good.

Just wondering? I have installed the new firmware. I see no warnings or indicators that I need to upgrade the firmware on the batteries. Was there a firmware update for batteries in this install? or is the heading at the top of the page just a form? Last time I did it through the app but I see no prompts for this on my iPad.

Yes battery update, you will get prompted by Assistant 2 (leave running) after you switch off aircraft, change battery and switch on again. It will only prompt if battery in place needs updating which they should do.

I never got the "leave running" message. so I just changed out the batteries and did a "refresh" on all 5 of them, restarting each battery after refreshed

if it crashes theyll blame you for not updating, but everyone who crashed on that version, it wasnt the firmware

so now, the correct updates should be
app: 3.0.2
ac: 1.02.0602
rc: 1.8.0
ios: 10.1.1

Says the update can be done from the DJI go app. Please confirm this, also if this is for battery firmware, how does that work? Do I need to insert all my batteries and reboot the P4?

Has anyone checked if the P4 range is still the same after the firmware update? I am always concerned that new firmwares limit range.

Also, did this update help anyone who was having video streaming issues?

Hi, after the update, I'd suggest you to cool down the aircraft and do the IMU calibration again.

The firmware update is not required.
If everything works fine, you could stay on the current firmware version.
