Ordered at the end of 9/28. I know I am not the first one received Mavic in Toronto but it seems like pretty few people in Canada got their drones for now.

Just carefully checked everything that been reported has defect, cable, gimball, camera, arms and no problem for them.

Well the only issue for now is that my phone is too thick to be held by that controller...

Will fly tomorrow or later to test other stuffs like gimbal stability and RC respond.

I wish everyone who waiting for your Mavic will get delivered soon and enjoy your drones!

Congrats look forward to receiving mine hopefully this year...

Share your results if possible. I'm not sure what your needs are, but I have had a lot of luck recently with DaVinci Resolve 12.5 for free video editing.

Congrats, I am in Aurora and ordered on the 4th of oct.  Fearing that it will be too cold to play with by the time I get it.  Amazing to see the size against the Priv....reminder how small the thing is!

I;m near Newmarket, found some great, wide open spaces  for those first flights around here & locals are very good at granting permission.
Luckily, weather is abnormally nice for flying, so far.

I will fly it some in Aurora but mainly in Collingwood area.

Feeling lonesome up here in Ottawa LOL (no Mavic yet either)

Ordered mine from Vistek. They've received 5 for all of Canada so far. Not expecting any more til end of the month!

Did anyone here purchase direct from DJI?  If so, are taxes and duty charged upon receiving shipment?  I'm wondering if the 'money' i saved by ordering direct, I would be further ahead to buy locally and just cancel my order from DJI.  I originally purchased Fly More, but thinking that the standard package and 1 extra battery will suffice..  Sorry for the hijack, my first post...

If you purchased from dji,  then taxes and duties are already paid you will see this clearly laid out on dji.com.

Thanks for the reply.. I have read that on DJI site and as well as on here.. but I have also been burnt before by Customs and D*L, so I just wanted to hear from any Canucks that may have also been hit by bogus charges upon delivery.

Really, DJI has no jurisdiction on what Customs or Carriers can charge.  Hopefully my order makes it through with no additional charges.  Or it would make more $ sense to buy locally, with all the benefits of such... (Warranty/Friendship/Etc.)   I will give a status update upon receipt.  Cheers.

Dji export to distribution networks , it is there duties and taxes are paid for respective Countries. If courier or customs ask for extra, then just refuse it's dji's problem.

Just watch for extreme temp as Mavic Camera and Gimbal may give issues .. I am only flying indoors now ( Gym )

From Quinte West, ordered through BestBuy Oct 28 and received it Dec 23... took a few calls to Customer service to convince them to get it to me before Christmas, they came through.

The unfortunate part... had to RMA the Mavic back to DJI due to severe jello, tried everything as recommended but no fix, flew in +5C to -2C with no change, even encountered jello with the gimbal cover on.

I'm super impressed with the flight characteristics, just a sweet drone to fly, so effortless and relaxing compared to my 680 and 810 drones, can't wait to get it back now, hopefully by end of next week.
