Ok. I've tried 1 more flight today and got no gps image on the app.

The bird flew good but the video loss feed sometimes. And got lots of constant "loss rc connection" or something like that.

When this will be fixed?!?

I use stick down lock frequently to descend from higher Alt...
The motors will only "shut off" if you do the CSC which is explained in the instructions but look at DJI Mindy's post #275 above ;)

Will this update fix the loss of video at about 15 m iPhone. Drone is less than 12 months old and has NEVER worked properly!

In the new update they launched in January 2017 through the program dji assitence 2 for Phantom 4 update from the pc and since then it does not work keep them from gimbals everything else is correct the gps works the dron flies and responds to the radio controller the camera It looks with good clarity the return home everything works fine except the gimbals I've been contacting through the chast through gmail over the phone and they are not treating me well and nobody gives me a solution. This aircraft has 3 months and cost a significant rise and I think they are not proving this to the height of the price that sells because at that price should be covered a good technical support and I say that this occurred through the application dji assitence 2 that is the official. Also observed that from this problem the update of January 2017 to disappearing from the dji assitence 2 but anyway I have screenshot of this event. I even had the request echo of the inspire 1 v2 and as you will understand it is canceled since its technical support does not give much confidence.

Note that I tell an anecdote the first parrot album that entered Spain was mine and came faulty and after contacting my supplier to my surprise I received a phone call and it was a good news since I was calling the very representative of parrot Spain and invited me to do some tests with the team and quickly recognized that the equipment was defective and the next day a parcel and I made the entry of the amount in my account that with that money was with which I bought your phantom 4 and I do not ask them to give me back the money so I ask that if they made a mistake in the January 2017 firmware update that they recognize and restore my computer, I think it's just what I'm asking and that I'm not giving shelter from side to side That I have 51 years to suffer this I am suffering and I am losing the expected that your technical support do what it has to do.

Do not update!!!  It burnt my gimbal up constantly guttering during update process and then failed and locked my drone up its useless now !! So after begging dji sent ups slip I mailed back then now want 178.00 to fix and I noticed in message more or less blaming on crash or something ..!!! This update also does something else..it results in bricked and or unstable flight. It has cost me two drones one performed an rth which could not be canceled within 10 meters of me. it decided to fly strait up into a tree i was moving past. second drone decided to roll violently in the air before coming down hard and sheering the gimble off. So total flight time was 40 mins for the first drone and less then 3 seconds for the second drone. DJI will not help you and the forums are very clear on it with hundreds of upset customers with bricked or unstable drones. Secondly dji care is not provided or supported in my location. instead the only option is to send it in overseas and wait 3-6 months for return with no information on how long or how much it will cost. They also a price guide shows the repair costs for each part however the costs on the shop page are very different for those same parts. for example the motherboard for the drone is $400 list price on the shop and $43 for the same part from dji care. so what is the go here. first you screw us with a bull firmware update and then you screw us on support and repair costs. dont bother with the update instead stay clear of all dji products they are not here for you and me they are here solely for themselves and have no regard for their customers. I managed to repair my drone using parts from the first drone however due to the support issues and the massive price difference for parts on the shop and those provided during repair i cannot see myself upgrading to any other dji products they are simply too expensive with no recourse if something goes wrong. and its funny that i bought dji on the belief i can get support and warranty in the event of any problem including operator error. turns out this is a blatant outright lie. i want to know why i cant even get a response on the pricing differences so apparently a $0.00003 cent ribbon cable must cost me $8 to replace once you take into account shipping and exchange rates. I EXPECT ANSWERS ????????????????

$80 not $8 and since i tried to edit the post instantly after posting and seeing the typo and then getting the error the post has existed for more then two minutes i cant edit it. Its a good indication of the quality of service dji provides.

Well, I think it’s time for me to say something too, I have two PH3P, and the youngest one has flown twice, only.
Both of them was working fine, until this last upgrade of the firmware. I have only been using the old one because the newer one is a spare if the **** hit’s the ***, as you might say.
I did an upgrade on the one I’m always using, the first one I bought, after this upgrade I can’t barely use it. Loss of videofeed and a lot of pixels on the screen, however, the controller seems to work as it should.
That got me curious, so I took out the the other one for a testflight, without updating to the latest firmware, and it worked as it should, no problem what so ever.

After this test, I did an upgrade on that one too, bummer! Now I have two of the behaving exactly the same way, I can’t use it at all. I can’t see anything when I’m flying, it seems like the signal for the videofeed is to week.
Now I’m an unhappy owner of two (2) Phantom 3 Professional. Crap, I should never done this.

The strange thing is that I’ll never ever had any problems before with upgrade on the software, over 200 flights, more than over a year and now this happens. I guess I have to take up the old DSLR instead and stop using the PH3P.

Is this firmware okay, and can I use it with 2.9.1?

YES.  Had some pretty good flights rth working perfect. 168 was good for me 179 haft my range and so far no problems on 180 and the range is the same I got on 168

DOes DJI have an app for Windows Surface Pro with 8.1 on it. From what I am seeing your don't. This seems like something you would be jumping on.

I dont time is it on windows, only Android and IOS at least that is what they recommend.

Hello, Hoping to get some help with the firmware update. I was flying my drone and after landing an update notice appeared on my tablet. I flew a few more times and the update notice appeared again saying update required. I clicked on the update and since then have not been able to connect the drone to the RC. I have gone through the update steps over and over for days, even using different devices with no luck. I have had the update install up to 50% and as little as 20% before I get an error that it's failed. I have tried installing using the micro chip and still no luck. Long story short, I spent my entire Sunday on this and every evening since.  Any advice is appreciated.

Where did you get/see this notice??? (I don't see an App open)...

Upgraded to 1.8.10 from 1.7.9 the other day using DJI GO app 3.1.4 on iOS, followed instructions to the letter, it failed at 40% exactly like someone else reported above. On second attempt it started beeping like crazy, but it was able to complete the process. Did a full IMU and compass calibration before sending it up in the air, everything seemed to be ok although it was just a short flight at close distance.

It appeared on my smart phone. Perhaps as I was already using version 581. My phone is now 582 version.

I had the same message appear on my phone. To update, I simply deleted the APP and downloaded the latest from market.

Yup I uninstalled my 3.1.2 Ver 581 and downloaded new 3.1.2 582 and installed fine.

I never had any issues with the V581 app as others did.

Did a flight today on the new version no issues all working well including RTH.

Hi everyone,

This is gonna be very long story and trust me I'm not that kind of person who is writing posts on the forum without searching any resolutions in the internet.

I've got DJI Phantom 3 Standard version which was bought via Ebay. Yesterday after reading the manual I wanted to install and check all stuff which needs to be done before flying. I downloaded the software then installed and I was informed to install some upgrades. Ok. All downloaded, I connected my phone (Galaxy S4 with Andorid 5+) with RC and then I should connect with the craft. And there my story is starting:
I can't connect with the craft becasue "Device Disconnected. Please chceck" On my mobile I see a communicate that my RC is connected and the craft needs to be connected. Yesterday the craft was flashing with pulsing red light as wasn't connected. The RC light is just red. As the sound was horribly laud and was quite late I gave up and just left for today and in the meantime I started to find some similar problems.

Today is still the same problem but the drone is not flashing any light at all!

I started to try resolve this problem and found some pieces of advice but none of them worked. So below I'm gonna listed what I have done just to show you how desperate I'm to run the bloody drone.

1. As the RC and drone is definitely not connected I tried to linked them. Firstly using the app and option like "Linking RC" but didin't work. So I tried the second options with RC (moving the gimbal button + S2 button) of course didin't work as well. The link button underneath the drone is lightening red light in first seconds, then when I pressed it is pulsing red light with ONLY one blink green and then back to pulsing red.

2. I tried to put 3 different memory card but didn't get any result.

3. I tried to use 2 different devices. (Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Tab A) which both should be working perfectly. Of course the Android system is up to date and is 5+.

4. All batteries are charged properly.

I'm very confused so maybe I forgot to write something what else I've tried, anyway I'm starting to think that something wrong is with drone. I'm gonna get contact with DJI support and with the shop from Ebay.

If anyone has any advice for me please let me know.

Did you connect to the Phantom in your WIFI ?  The phantom has to be connected to your phone's wifi app.
You have setup the wifi app and password yes?

The RC is connected with app, but I can't connect the craft with app. That's the thing.

To do a firmware upgrade yes.

I have updated the firmware on the Remote Controller, it says I have 1.8.0 and continues to say I need to update even though it has upgraded successfully.

dji mindy still no banner here tryed to linked rc to ac with sucess but no update banner here.so i guess i have to do it by sd card instead where can i download the 1.7.9 bin file??

connect the drone to a usb via pc and then turn it on and turn it off after 15 sek.then start a normal startup first rc then drone and then connect to phantom wifi start the app and vupty there is the banner

what fw my best is 3500ft on 1.6.8 got 3000 with 1.9.0 with go 2.9.1, havent takin her out with go 3.1.3 yet

This version bricked my P3S -- actually the Tech helping with the "hung upload" bricked my P3S and then told me to send it in so they could fix the problem.

My P3 is under warranty, but guess what? DJI says' nope... the gimbal warranty is only 6 months so its out of time.

Please send $150.00 for repairs to get you Drone back, it needs a new board.  Furious doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling right now. With service like this, someone will eventually come along and do a better job. They are NOT to big to fail. {:4_154:}

Update my Phantom 3 Standard Firmware v1.08.10 and now has many errors in the flight a lot of signal from the remote control.

I emailed them once and never got a reply back...I guess thats the "DJI way". Anyways Im not sure for how long I will keep using their products.
