Mavic cheaper so why buy P4?

Because you can go to the store and put yours hands on a P4

Let's see.... the reviews say that the camera is not as good (the 4k is softer).  The drone is smaller, so less likely to handle wind smoothly.  You can use a tablet for the monitor.

+ 1. Being logical about this, the P4 is a solid, one piece construct. The Mavic is a jointed, folding craft, and will therefore flex more and not be as stable in high winds. Also, more joints - more things to break.
For my $0.02 I'd over-simplify by suggesting that if you want portability - go for the Mavic. If you want stability in higher extremes (for photography, or simply piece-of-mind) - go the P4.

The Mavic has A LOT of issues.

The P4 is a tough bird. The Mavic looks like the camera is on the ground. Come the holidays I am betting a P4 will be very reasonable to buy. Already you can find batteries for $90 on Amazon.

This is interesting, wind is one of my biggest concerns, and manual atti feature.

I have a P4 that has worked with very little problems.  I love everything about it.   The abilities and possibilities with this drone are endless.  I have ordered the mavic for the most part because of it's size.  I Expect it to perform just as good if not better than my P4.  It should travel better than the P4.  Do both units have some problems, yes but when the dust settles  they are the best on the market.  When production ramps up, all will be right with the world.  Can ' t go wrong with either drone.
