As I say in the title lets use the forum and this thread to SAY LOUD to DJI that we want something back for the delays.A present,like credits in the store or care refresh for our drones we dont have.
Please write your opinions and suggestions.
Lets do it BIG in order DJI hear our complains.

I think actually receiving the Mavic Pro itself is more than enough compensation for the delay. This thing will give months of enjoyment, taking it everywhere and flying it just about anywhere you'd like. And as for the authorities. Well, they've got to find out that you've been flying there first before they can press any charges/fines. As long as you're not flying your Mavic Pro over large groups of people and near airports, the location is fine for flight.

FAIL, lol there have been 44 views and no support... I already revived mine and am happy for the delay since mine is listed on eBay, hopefully I can make some $$$

Release date was supposed to be Oct. 15, I received mine today, Nov. 9
Less than a month. Not much of a delay for me.

LOL I did have the intent to use the Mavic but with all the recent problems I've decide to sell it and pick up a P4 until all the bugs are worked out.

Yeah. I suggest having 50% discount for DJI Care would be win win situation for both party. DJI will get more DJI Care order for those on the fence and user get extra protection at the lower cost. As long as not too many crashes, DJI still can make some extra cash out of this situation while making customer happy.

This is a preorder, which means you order it before it's produced. Yea, they missed the launching deadline, and then made another. It's still a preorder, you'll get it when you get it. If you don't want to wait, cancel your order. I'll then be that much closer to mine.

It would be good (SMART) business to do something for the pre order buyers that have been delayed well over a month. This company is making sizable profits from their products

As exactly the same pattern has characterised the launch of DJI's (and some other manufacturers) UAV products over the past couple of years, I'd contend that this is the new 'normal' for this industry and it is a case of caveat emptor for any person seeking to purchase this sort of product. Not saying that is a good thing, but just reflecting reality.

Just a few minutes of reading articles and forum posts would educate to any potential purchaser just how nebulous marketing launch promises of delivery actually are.

The prudent approach therefore is to:

Put down the kool-aid and put your thinking caps on.
Ignore the hype and marketing, or at the least recognise it for what it is and disregard any promises made as to availability and timing.
Recognise that these devices are incredibly complex (despite physical size and price point) and are largely software defined. Bugs will be there, faults will happen and will be dealt with over time.
Read, learn and understand what the device can actually do beforehand and rationally check this against your requirements. Don't purchase on a promise that a function you need with come in a later update. That doesn't always happen.
Buy the thing when it is actually available, in hand, in a retail outlet.

When P4 was released a few weeks after dji issued all those who purchased from them an €90 credit, I think when the dust settles we might see another gesture similar to that, you never know...

That would be nice but I'm assuming the people that ordered through retailers will be left out in the cold.

This is exactly what pi$$1s me of with people who think they have been badly treated and they think they should have some sort of compensation. It's a preorder so you're not necessarily going to get it on a specific date. Mine says November it might turn up in December I'm not bothered it comes when it comes. If dji think that they should give you something then that's up to them but I don't think they will. I deal with lots of different companies every day and sometimes they don't meet my demands but I don't ask for anything. Just be happy with your mavic I'm sure I will.

It was issued because people who bought from Apple demanded, so the presumption was it was a deal between Apple and dji,
With the release of P4 there were no delays..

So their is going to be a massive battery shortage lol. I'll wait until they are readily available to order 2 more I don't think I'll need anymore than that because the remote battery only lasts 3 batts.

You will get your mavic sooner or later. Dji charge cc that's their way. That's why I went with Apple they take your money when they ship. It's up to you weather you do an underpant dance about shipping dates and ok if you don't get your mavic until next year then if it was up to me you would get something. It's only been a few weeks I guess you could wait a bit more.

Maybe DJI could partner with an accessory company for a coupon of some sort for the people that placed pre-orders...like 20% off of https://www.polarprofilters.com/ ... professional-6-pack......or something.

So if you post enough in these forums, you'll get enough points to convert to DJI credits... :-) keep posting.

You can charge the RC controller with the flight batteries. You just need the powerbank to flight battery charger which comes included in the Fly More Combo. So if you do run out of battery life on the RC, you can charge it back up with either an almost dead flight battery or from a large capacity powerbank.

Great I have a power bank so I can get more batteries. I have six for my parrot and  twelve for my racing quad.
Parrot bebop 6 batteries- 90 minutes flight time.
250 class racing quad 12 batteries- 60 minutes  flight time.
Dji mavic 4 batteries- 108 minutes flight time.
4 batteries will do for now and I suppose I will find out things more when I get my mavic.

I think DJI should do 1 of 3 perks. #1 offer a discount for the goggles as an apology. They still profit, but margin would be smaller for them. #2 offer lens filter set for free. Actual cost would be miniscule compared to profits; it would definitely boost all of the negative flack they got. #3 offer a tablet holder for the mavic free. It would be a few cents of plastic, improve there negative  publicity and silent the nay sayers complaining that there ipad mini doesn't fit; even though it can.

Orders of the Mavic Pro are being shipped out constantly. There's nothing to show us how many are being shipped out, but DJI are busy getting all of the many orders fulfilled. There's new flight videos of the Mavic Pro being uploaded onto YouTube all of the time.
