Is this true that when you lose signal with the remote the vision sensors are disabled?

I find this hard to believe that this Mavic just ran into the tree while returning to home. It did not even ascend like it is supposed to unless it already thought it was high enough if it took off from a lower elevation.

Ya thats why i was questioning him about the RTH altitude and he said probably around 150 feet. Doesn't sound like he was to sure though. Do you know if the visions collision sensors are turned off on RTH when loosing signal?

This is from the manual. If i remember correctly, I had to go into the settings and enable the Forward Vision System and also increased the default rth of 30m.

"The aircraft cannot avoid obstruction during Failsafe RTH if Forward Vision System is disabled. It is important to set a suitable Failsafe altitude before each flight."

Obstacle avoidance should still work with RTH even if you loose signal.

No they are not disabled  . But if you are in sport mode you have no colision sensors. SO maybe it's what happened.

Ok that is what i thought. I Upped my RTH from 30m to 50m right away and turned on the vision sensors. They have been working really good.
