Called my local Michigan Best Buy store today.  They kindly looked into any Mavic shipments/stock potentially in my local stores (including my prepaid reservation) and they show zero recieved or in transit for Michigan, Indiana or Ohio.  Smh.

I think the best option is to order directly from DJI through their DJI Store if you'd like the Mavic Pro before the New Year. I really can't see any other options other than that as the retailers / resellers need to actually receive stock of the drone first before they can dispatch them to their customers. And it'll be a long time before you see stock in local stores, that's for sure. At least not until after the New Year.

Your Mavic will be coming from a BB distribution center, not a store front.

Maybe i will try to contact the closest distribution center to my location and get some info

Newegg was pretty on for pre-orders and they currently say shipping 12/15
