So I am going on a large vacation on December 28 2016 and I ordered the Mavic on October 10th. (Fly more combo). I specifically ordered this drone to take on this trip.. I saw the update of 7-8 weeks for shipping..

Any realistic chance I get it before I leave?

Buy a second hand P4 from ebay unless you need it to be compact. You could prob sell it again when your mavic comes.

If from DJI store, I'd guess at yes but no-one on this forum (who actually communicates) will know. I have a feeling the next 7 to 14 days will see a large volume of the back-orders delivered.

If you purchased directly from DJI i would say you have a pretty good chance if you ordered on 10/10...I preordered mine on 10/1 and it just got shipped out on Monday and is scheduled to arrive this Friday 11/11. I hope you get it in time to enjoy your vacation!

Interesting.  I ordered mine  "Order Time: 2016-09-29 18:07:38 (UTC)" to the US.

And not shipped yet.  so much for first come first serve DJI.

why there's ton o people that wait their mavic ordered on the first day?

but on the site shipping you are at 4 october?

i agree it was weird because it doesn't seem like they are going in order, unless its an issue with the shipping companies. My Mavic just arrived 1 day early by FedEx while i was at work and it only took 4 days from China to New England.  

I almost gave up myself and was thinking about the pros and cons of cancelling my pre order, especially since winter and very cold temps usually hits this area hard...but in hindsight i'm glad i waited. I hope you all get yours very soon.

I have also asked DJI the same thing as I am going on a trip to NZ for 6 weeks on the 20th of Dec, and this is the response I got!

I assume based on what they are saying I should get mine within 6 weeks of  date of order which would be no later than Dec the 4th?

Reseller are now receiving deliveries albeit in very small quantities.  I scoop up one Fly More Combo yesterday and waiting for it to be delivered before 2pm today.

wow you had your shipped this monday what was the time you order yours on the 1st of oct because mine is from the first of oct and guess what its still pending I had to write today to DJI  Because I am getting tired of waiting its going to be 2 months soon and they have no movement loook at my status. I spoke to a person on the chat but she did not think she was telling the truth she said that mine is pending to leave the warehouse on the 16 of this month at 1:10 pm lets see if that is true I will be on their case on that day if I still see it pending but putting several days later instead monday like yours still brings doubt to me, that it will leave on the 16 of this month.

Well I hope your presales could put sticky notes to those ordering before me, because many people that order on the same day I did are getting theirs first and someone on this post order on the 1st of Oct which left monday and mine is still pending its going to be 2 months now and I have already been charged first payment of my credit card for the DJI mavic pro drone. Its time that you guys start putting your part of the promise because 2 months for an order that is paid for already is not looking good for my part for any future purchase of this kind directly from DJI. Lets hope it does not come with the many bugs, faulty camera blur and other manufacturing problems, because with this kind of delay, it should come pristine. I will hate to return a faulty product...

Well i ordered it around 7am EST but due to the large amount of money i was flagged for possible Debit Fraud i had to call my bank when they opened up to give verbal permission that i was indeed the person making the transaction. it didn't officially go through until around 11:20am EST

I ordered mine on 10/5 still haven't gotten shipping info.  I did have some accessories in there, so I used the chat tool to have them split the order so they don't have to ship everything together.  hopefully that'll speed things along.  

I ordered a combo on 10/2. No shipping info as of 11/18. Planned to bring it for Xmas vacation starting 12/23. I will be very very upset if it is not delivered by then.  Most likely I'm not the only customer with similar plan and expectation!

I did order my on Sep 28 and they just shipped my today, according to fedex trucking # I will get my package 23 NOV
