DJI you did it up-on this new fw update for the Z3
It's now compatible with the osmo

I can not find this new update on the DJI site all the firmware is from August. I get the new camera up date needed on my screen and it says see academy but I still don't see the new firmware.

will the update update the bird aswell or just the z3

anyone having issues uploading fw, I've done everything and the camera doesn't update

dji thor my camera will not upload new firmware, it doesn't do anything when I insert microsd card with the 1.9.4 update should i contact support? Ive done everything in the video above.

It doesn't respond, and now I have no transmission signal. Camera response to movement but screen is blacked out it didn't do that yesterday. Anyway I sent an email to support hoping to escalate an RMA I just got this camera back from DJI North America

Just downloaded and updated fine. Will know more in a day or two.

I updated the Z3 firmware without issue and made some test flights.

With the follow parameters it was worse than before.   The image would not even stabilize at close range, it kept breaking up.   

App 3.0.2
Aircraft: 1.9.1.30
RC: 1.6.0
Z3 Camera: 1.9.1.4

With the following parameters it worked much better.   Had only one instance of the image breaking up.  I flew at a distance of 700' away at an altitude of 150' AGL

App 2.8.7
Aircraft: 1.9.1.30
RC: 1.6.0
Z3 Camera: 1.9.1.4

DJI --  Should i send the camera back or wait for another firmware update.   I never opened a service ticket on this issue as i have been waiting for a FW update.

Since the 2.8.7 app works fine for you, I would suggest you wait, because if it's an app issue we can always improve with a later app.

I see this is mainly an update for the Z3 camera and not the Inspire 1 V2 X3. Will they be releasing another update that will help the Inspire 1 V2 with the X3 camera soon also?  We have been waiting for a long while

I tested the Z3 firmware update today and the spin up problem is not there any more (Thank goodness), but I had MAJOR issues with the live feed.... I checked the SD card and the video looked fine there (except for one instance).  I wish we could get the ongoing problems with this Z3 solved.  It has been way too long guys....

Anyone had any problems returning the camera for a refund ????

So, Z3 users - did this fix the problems with startup and live feed? What is the consensus?
I am hovering over the button for a large purchase of Inspire gear and would very much prefer specifying the Z3 over the X3.

DJI rarely allows refund after the refund window(7 days), unless the dealer is willing to take ( 30 days for Amazon and BestBuy)   This is according to my experience

happy to report I finally got the firmware to update. but what I realized, the beep sound.... d....d....d was so low I didn't even know it was upgrading. it was never that low before. Nothing was on at home, I noticed the faint sound and thought I was hearing things. Decided to let it run its course, and it updated. weird...

Anyone else experiencing this... Firmware updated all appears well. My problem is (same as last firmware for Z3) the left wheel which is supposed to move the camera up and down, as it did on the X3, moves the Z3 left and right. It's annoying as I usually fly the inspire in the direction of a shot, I have to use the touch screen to move it up and down. What's up with this? I don't know of any setting to change it.

Mine was acting the same way when using latest DJI go app.   Very annoying.  I have an ipad with an older version that i use when flying Z3 and it performs better.

I really hope they are working on these issues.

Thanks for that info. I at now I at least know it's iOS firmware to call them about.

So pumped the Z3 Finally works with the Osmo.  Am I stupid or does the Z3 lack audio.  I blew a video yesterday because I needed the zoom feature at a recital, but dangit, no audio'

Any questions about Z3 working with Osmo, right here.

Z3 was intended to be used on a drone, so no mic on it.
