I would just like to get some feedback from the forum.  I just heard from DJI - For Mavic Pro orders received before November 3, 2016, we will do our best to clear them all within the next seven to eight weeks.  Now my question is that I live in Chicago and I definitely wont be able to fly until the spring. I hopefully will have the Mavic in January but won't be able to really fly until April-May.  So my question is "Should DJI, because of backorders and Winter extend all Mavic warranties for an additional 6 months to make it a total of an 18 month warranty along with DJI refresh (if you purchased)?  Thoughts??

Why would you keep your pre-order if you can't fly until spring?
By then some new piece of tec will be announced / come out and the mavic will depreciate just sitting there? Might as well by it when you need it at a discount?

I don't plan on flying mine till spring either, I'll use the P3 till then. But I'm keeping my Mavic order going. You never know what will happen, improvements, price hikes because of the great demand. I don't expect mine till Late Dec. or early Jan. I'm sure by then it'll have newer firmware.

Actually IF you ordered the combo and plan on putting your mavic away 'till spring you may as well sell off your batteries to get the 'discount' dji wouldn't give....
Going rate of $200-250 each if you sell all 3 1299 - 3x (200 to 250 - 89) = $966 to 816 Thats not too bad at all....

Also anyone notice they haven't updated ANYTHING about the standalone mavic (no remote) for $749 yet?

Better cancel your order and then buy it in April when stock should be out probably (else they really have a prolem)

But still won't make a difference. You will always have winter in 12months period. So... invalid argument.

Have to agree with this. Unfortunately, its not a fair-weather warranty. This spring/summer has been pretty good in the UK but it can often be windy and raining for weeks.

Doesn't matter in a 12 month period, there is always snow in the northern regions for at least 4 of the 12 months.

Well from what's been posted, DJI mentioned that the DJI Care refresh must be activated within 48 hours of registering the Mavic... So you can simply leave your Mavic in the box until you decide to fly, then register the Mavic and purchase the DJI Care refresh then.

But I doubt you'll do that.

I crashed my Phantom 4 beyond repair and ordered Mavic Pro to replace it although it's much smaller than the P4. I plan on purchasing DJI Care Refresh after my Mavic arrives.
While waiting patiently for my Mavic to be shipped I've been having flying withdrawal  symptoms so I decided to purchase another P4 tonight I managed to find one at a Best Buy nearby.. I also purchased the DJI Care which cost $219.00. I suspect DJI might have offered  DJI Care Refresh at a lower price when the P4 first came out.
It would behoove those purchasing the Mavic Pro to purchase DJI Care Refresh before the price increases.

I unboxed the P4, charging the batteries that I had and the one that came with the P4....Ready to go flying tomorrow......

There P4 will keep me in good spirits until My Mavic finally gets shipped
