One thing I started doing is to run a screen recorder app every time I fly (I use AZ Screen Recorder on Android). As there still seem to be bugs being ironed out of the Mavic, video proof of what exactly happened is very useful. In fact, very often when somebody posts here with an issue, one of the first questions the DJI reps ask is "Do you have a screenshot of the error?"

For a while I was also strapping a GoPro to my chest to record my hands on the RC, so I also would have a record of what my actual control inputs were.
