Here's a video of my first test flight. So far, I'm loving it.  I just got to wait for the two spare battery I order since September. Not fun playing with one battery.

Definitely don't do any long distance flights until your 100% confident in your aircraft.
There's so many sensors, functions, and features that you really should know how everything works (manual) before you start going long range.
And, I too get to see that view daily as I'm in Anaheim Hills.

Yes Sir. Maybe one day we can link up and fly the Mavic. It was definitely worth the wait. I'm thinking of buying another one without the remote and I can just bind it to the one i have already.

That's a great way to have 2 Mavics, I don't know when the $749 Mavic only will be available. But when it is that's what I would do.
I fly at the end of Weir Canyon, it's miles of nothing but hills an most days not a single person can be seen. I'm surprised everyone who lives around here who has RC aircraft doesn't fly here. I've never once seen any other RC aircraft there.

Sounds like fun. I am going to check that place out. This Mavic is going to be put to use. Didn't pay all that money to have it sit on the shelf.  lol  I'm just waiting for my two spare battery to be ship. But I'm in no rush. Probably within the month it'll be ship out.

It's great to hear you're having fun, thank you for sharing.

Video looks very bad, blurry, as it was upscaled from 480p or so. Nothing is share, but it is not unsharp due to not focusing. Not sure what you did here. I think exported wrong with wrong (low) bitrate settings and then uploaded to youtube?

Also try to avoid quick panning shots. Makes your eyes hurt trying to follow the image. In the end, you actually see nothing in those shots.

Like topic said, first flight. I'm new to this. So give me a break. It was more of sharing my experience with other flying the Mavic pro, since I just got it yesterday.  Have a good day!

I know, but this is just odd. Check your exported video.It has nothing to do with the mavic I think, (the blurry part)

Just giving tips.
