Camera and gimble are hanging under the inspire with 4 small rubber dampers.
If something go wrong with these dampers, the gimble and camera can drop down.
I slipped a small size cable-tie thrue the hole of the 2 front dampers. (not tighten).
I did not cut the excess yet, so its better to see on the picture.
I dont think it will interfere with the gimble operation.
I did not test this as im still waiting for the prop locks.
Nice Video and good idea with the zip ties. I have done similar using braided 22lb breaking strain line used as backing line in fly fishing to connect my GoPro filter to the Phantom just in case that wiggles loose in flight.
I was also informed on my BNUC course by the instructor that any payload should have two means of mechanical connection to prevent it falling off in flight.
Yes, was thinking about that. WIll make the tests soon.
I think a question of giving it enough slack.
Maybe fish-wire better. But i cant make knots uhhh.
Did this on my phantom 1.1 two years ago before dji came out with the plastic keepers ,didn't want to loose the new zenmuse gimble and Gopro I'd purchased , that gimble originally cost $700.00 + and came separate... Strange DJI didn't think about those safety keepers on the inspire hmmm....

Most pilots if they're worried about loosing the gimbal and camera to a fall tie loosely double looped dental floss with two box knots and trimmed tight exactly where you put your zip ties. The dental floss is extremely strong and very light.
I have used braided fishing line to provide secondary mechanical fixing. You can get it in various breaking strains. The one I use is rated 22b ( 10kg) breaking strain and is about the same diameter as dental floss. Just burn the ends slightly with a lighter to seal it whenever you cut it. I think you can get super braid backing line up to 76lb (35kg) breaking strain. All available at fishing shops and on line. Just serach for braided backing line.
The differenece is it is flexible like string not like the rigid zip ties, although these are great.
