Ever since I updated the firmware to v01.02.0900, the IMU is taking more than a minute to initialize, it was very quick before the update.

Yes it can take that long, you can do a IMU CAL If you leave your aircraft in a cold room minus the battery for 20 mins, then do the IMU you will find it quicker to warm up when starting to fly..

Please try hallmark007's advice. Do a cold IMU calibration.
