What do you guys think of DJI refurbished product? I was looking at the P3 Advanced for $749 with an extra battery or the P4 for $899 and one battery. Which one do you think is better and has anyone had experience with the refurb items?

I'm not touching the 'refurbished unit', part of this equation, but a P4 would be awesome for that price. ;-)

At that price point the P4 is the easy choice in my opinion. I got mine used with dji care and a extra battery for fairly cheap and have been loving it.

What was the condition when you got it? I know some refurbished product is like new and people are afraid of that word but it actually is not much different from new. These items are comprised of electronics and if one is faulty, it was replaced, good as new.

Mint. I was able to view the flight logs and they flew it 8 times. I've flown it a lot since and no shell cracks or anything to complain about

Bestbuy.ca sells a P4 black refurbished for $CAD1099+13%tax. New sells for $CAD1399+tax ($250 off until March 9). The sale might be generated by the P3 being discontinued and P4 being discounted.
Should I trust the refurbished drone? I didn't have one before and I won't know what to check when I get it.
There are -11C outside, so this is no time to try it too much during the first 7 days.

I'd go with the P4 for the price. But the P3A with extra battery? Hard choice, both are good drones. I think getting a refurbish is fine.

P4 would be a solid choice at that price! Then for an extra battery, snag one one/some of the high capacity batteries for the P4!

Both are great aircrafts, so you won't go wrong with either one. If you really want to save a bit of coin, you would go with the P3, but getting the P4 would give you a more current camera quality and a few extra perks for just a little more.

My experience with a refurbished Phantom 3 Standard purchased from DJI was outstanding!  The sUAS arrived in complete new packaging, all of the components appeared to be new.  I actually wondered if the "refurbished" notation was just DJI's way of discounting the quadcopter; mine was $359 with free shipping.  Anyway, I got it January of 2017 have flown it 10 ~ 12 times and am learning to use it for video movies.  The only down side is it can take several weeks from order to delivery.  My delivery was about 20 days from order.  (Chinese New Years got in the way)
