i use iphone 5s for upgrade firmware to 1.7.90 and success, and signal lost fix,

i use DJI GO App version 3.0.1 (Sony Xperia ZL). check firmware and firmware version : N/A, i upgrade to 1.5.7 and success
Packet: P3C_FW_V01.05.0070.bin
Upgrading ...
Result: Success.

but problem begin, DJI GO App always signal lost but i can calibrate gimbal, calibrate imu, relink RC, calibrate compass, i cant move gimbal using dial, i cant change mode, and firmware show latest update, first time i bought, this app show latest firmware, before upgrade, i using iphone 4s and show update firmware available, i dont upgrade using my iphone, after upgrade with sdcard and have trouble, i try upgrade to 1.6.8 and success
Packet: P3C_FW_V01.06.0080.bin
Upgrading ...
Result: Success.

and still signal lost, do be panic, i try update to 1.7.9 using sd card with dji go,
- remove sd card from camera
- format sd card
- copy fw 1.7.9
- turn on rc and Aircraft
- open dji go
- insert sd card with fw 1.7.9
and let see what happen, dji go app on sony xperia zl show new firmware available, i click but notif show, " failde to obtaine the information....... " oke dont be panic again,
so i turn off aircraft
i use my iphone 4s again for check firmware, i click academy hat maybe 5 second show menu about firmware, and i look this version is 1.2.4+, what the.... i try upgrade firmware to 1.5.7 - 1.6.8 - 1.7.9 and this app on ios show information about my firmware 1.2.4, what happen about upgrade firmware? failed? or this firmware for RC, i dont know, oke dont be panic again

i look dji go app on iphone 4s show new firmware, oke i download 1.7.9 from dji go, and finish download, this time for upgrade, i hope my drone can fly again, oke dji go notif to connect to rc wifi, oke i connected and what.................................... iphone 4s screen not support, i cant find upgrade button, oke maybe i must downgrade to 1.2.4

download firmware 1.2.4 and finish
- format sd card
- copy fw 1.2.4
- insert to sdcard slot

and......................
Packet: P3C_FW_V01.02.0040.bin
Result: Abort.
The current firmware does not support downgrade. Use a different version of firmware to downgrade the target version.

panic............

downgrade to 1.5.7

totally panic.
i can show video from camera real time, rc indicator green, i can calibrate gimbal,imu,compass, i can relinking, i cant move gimbal using dial, linking button on aircraft show solid red led, cant downgrade, cant upgrade using android, cant upgrade using iphone 4s, i cant fly, i belive i can cry...

Generally speaking, there is no need to put the bin file into SD card to upgrade phantom 3 standard, we can just do it through the APP.
Please format SD card, then try it on your mobile device again.
You could also check upgrading log by following these steps:
1. Enable Viewing hidden files in your OS. Below are the websites where you can check how to show the hidden files in your PC. For The Windows System: http://windows.microsoft.com/en- ... den-files=windows-7 For The Mac System: http://ianlunn.co.uk/articles/qu ... mac-os-x-mavericks/
2.Enter the root directory of the SD card, then find the hidden folder MISC and enter it. There is LOG folder in it.
3.The LOG txt file is under the LOG folder.

When I bought my DJI PHANTOM 3 STANDARD one month ago, I reached a distance of 600 Meters and an altitude of 450 Meters, but since 2 weeks ago I just could reached a distance of 130 Meters and an altitude of 110 Meters, and SIGNAL LOST and GO HOME. I checked DJI GO APP and BEGINNER MODE is DISABLE, MAXIMUM ALTITUDE is 400 METERS and DISTANCE LIMIT is DISABLE. My drone is on PERFECT CONDITIONS, I never have crashed and the FIRMWARE is UPDATED. So someboby could let me know what is happening.

i have same problem. i have downloaded new firmware , re install app, re link RC, but still the problem is not solved. please. someone help. i will downgrade today to 1.5.7. if it work i will say right here

wow, my drone (P3S) maybe maximum altitude is +-120 - 150m, and distance maybe i can reach +-300m, after that, lost signal and RTH hahaha

You mean after upgrading it to V1.7.9, still no improvement?
Have you tried to fly in other open places?
And also you could try to delete the APP, re-install it, re-link RC and aircraft, then fly again.
Please adjust antenna to the optimal range and fly it farther then higher.

Glad to hear you make it finally, sometimes we cannot not get the info on an android device, it maybe fine with an IOS device, please check the performance and feel free to keep us posted.

sure, i think android not show that option, maybe only ios show about new firmware

Hi . I have the P3Standard on 1.2.40. Very stable so far but havent taken it out beyond 100 meters. Still getting used to it. Looking for a nice open ground. I have one question though. I want to upgrade to q.7.90 and I am assuming that this will upgrade remote, battery and copter. If that be the case, what about my spare battery?. How do I upgrade that?. THANKS

I don't know why people need to upgrade the firmware so often with no evident reason. That mean if Phantom act properly.
Few months ago I did the same thing and at the first flight after upgrade I lost it.I lost the signal at 300m distance and I put it into RTH mode.
It didn't come back or more precisely it landed around 1000 m away from the RTH point.  I spent the whole day until I found it by recorded flight route - luckily undamaged!
As I read on the forum, after upgrade events are not rare at all.

dont update. really i had 1.6.8. it loses signa. i updated to 1.7.9. still it loses signal. if u are okay with your firmware. never update.
i sent it to seller. they will change antenna, if it doesnt work. maybe they will send to DJI.

My phantom3 standard was upgrade to 1.8 and i can't even get 150f of the ground with out signal lost and RTH when will DJI fix this problem?  Some please help...

I have the same issue months ago. I sent my dron back to dji and get a new one.
Now my p3s works.

I also have same problem with flying distance. My P3S doesn`t fly farther than 320m as documentation says it can fly up to 1km in clear area (flight didn`t reached 320m). Yesterday I was confused when I also had grey screen on my HUAWEI phone, nothing works on my screen. I didn`t see live flight and nothing of provided functions was not work. Thanks for God my aircraft was on my head 120m high and I was make landing manually. I`m beginner of course.

But I`m really not dissatisfied that aircraft doesn`t reach requirements with fly 300m MAX not 500m as it`s available for EU regulations.
