We are currently for University use installing the A3+ DRTK + Guidance,

Is the Guidance compatible with the A3? Everything is installed and ready to test, following the LED indication everything works.

Can you confirm?

The A3 does not support the M100's Guidance System.

There is not, based on what's available thus far. I do not know if there will be in the future.

Jamie can you reconfirm with your support.

On page 4 of the A3 manual it states the A3 will work with DJI Guidance?

They don't work together, this is just like the channel mapping issue we had, they wrote in the manual that the F channels  could be mapped for custom purposes, but in fact you cound not.

any updated DJI. we bought both based on the specs you gave. now seems they not going to work

We are in the middle of evaluating Matrice 600 Pro for a project but without a compatible guidance platform its not looking very feasible. I feel sorry for the people like edwoodza who purchased 600, A3 and guidance based on documentation

Do you have any update on this issue?

Today I received the following answer to this question from DJI Support:

"If you mean, Plug & Play and ready from DJI:  I'am sorry, No.
If you mean, is it possible: Yes, it is. You have on the A3 and on the Guidence System an UART Port. So you can use the onboard SDK to write your own software."

Has anyone of you already tried this?

You need a good understanding of the SDK, Linux, and programming to be able to work with it. Keep in mind you're modifying the flight controllers handling of things, so you need to test a lot and honestly use a tether for the first few flights.

Are there any team to work with this problem? I want to add obstacle avoidance behaviour to DJI A3.

Hello.Are you still there?I have found one way to make A3 work with guidance.you have to make a wire as the picture,and burn your A3's firmwire to the 2018 version.Use the CAN port on guidance and the CAN1 port on A3.Caution!sometimes this way do not work very well.Some user says sometimes guidance seems to seize control,and the pilot cannot land the drone.maybe you should make some safety measures in advance.

The specific A3 firmware for m600 may not work with guidance,but the standard A3 firmware can do.https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=232131
