For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the Mavic camera to point up above horizontal (0 degrees). I have read and searched the manual several times (see below). The manual says that the gimbal/camera will tilt 30 degrees above horizontal. I actually see it tilt up that far when I do the Gimbal calibration. However, during flight, it stops at horizontal (moves 90 degrees -- from straight down to straight out), but it is not clear at all how to get it to point up further.

How do I point the camera above zero degrees (between zero and 30 degrees?)

There is a setting in the app that enables manual tilt to 30°.
Go to the gimbal menu, advanced settings and enable "Upwards gimbal tilt limit to 30 degrees"

Not my video. Skip to 8.20

@StianGel, Thank you so much. Wow. How would anyone have known that little easter egg? @DJI, you may want to update the docs!

Is there any downside to enabling the upward tilt?  I wonder because it comes not enabled as a default.

Most of the time people want to capture the scenes below the horizontal line.
They made it 30 up degrees mainly to off set the bird tilts when it's flying forward.
