I've tried to update the RC wth usb and have ben unsuccessful.
I get error mesage: Connected device unable to access data. Android File transfer or Samsung Smart Switch must be installed for Mac OS. I'm not using a Mac. My device is a Galaxy Tab E. Android version 6.0.1.

I installed Samsung Smart Switch. Stil not connecting.

Hi Mark, what's the current firmware version of your RC?
If current firmware version is older than v 1.3.00, please update it to 1.3.00 first.
If current firmware version is above 1.3.00, please do the update via DJI GP app.
Please refer to the video tutorial starts from 3:41.

You can also try updating the controller itself using a USB stick.

I have the latest update for the RC  downloaded to my computer.  Simply load it to a thumb drive or SD card adapter with a USB outlet and then from there load to the RC .

directions are in my thread about this vey topic, I am not 100% sure the  1.7 .60 RC update will work but it is worth a shot .  If not you could  load 1.6 and that will usually get the RC to prompt for 1.7.60.
Member- Barney( above)  has the right idea but his link takes you to the older update versions, mine is the very latest.  He has the right idea .
