There's a bug in the DJI Osmo+ firmware 1.2.0.40.
If you have pitch lock activated on this version of the FW it doesn't actually lock the pitch. If you tilt the handle far enough the gimbal head will twitch to the side leaving you with ugly footage. Weirdly enough this bug wasn't present in the previous FW version...

I have this same problem, whether Pitch Lock is enabled or not.
Happens with both 1.3.0.50 which I am running now, and the previous version.

Same problem here but with the new firmware and with "zoom adjusted smoothtrack" activated on the gimbal setting menu.

It's the second product I bought from DJI in a week that needs to be send back.  Not Happy!

I guess it's easier to let customers who paid money for your product just live with a gimbal going full retard every so often.

DJI-Thor... I think what we want to know is that this is being escalated appropriately, with urgency and gravity, if you "can't force R&D to handle this". Surely your organisation has escalation procedures when you face internal resistance to bring solutions to customers when the problem is the product?

Why not? Can't they see that this is an obvious error in the way the Osmo works?

It's not like we're asking to get a new feature added. This is a bug. It affects all users(?) and it wasn't there in FW 1.1.0.30, so it needs to be fixed

I just did a test, and this problem also occurs when gimbal pitch lock is off.... Plese help us fix this problem DJI. We are several people that has this problem. And it only occurred after firmware 1.2 and forwards.

People that man the phone support/internet support are normally not anywhere close to top level support, more a go between.  They may be fine people, but just not from the top bin as they say in electronics business. I have been in the tech support business for a few years why back when, but I did it because I ran a small computer business and most of my income from that was from repairs.  So it only made sense to man to phones myself most of the time.  Also, this was before the internet took off for the most part, so most of my computer time was actually spent working on them.  I will say, unless they given something to share from the upper level, they really cannot do much except listen and help where they can most likely.

just deselect "Zoom Adjusted Smoothtrack"  in DJI Go, it will solve the issue.

The user was banned later because he was venting his anger in multiple thread in a disruptive manner.

Weird Osmo+ Bug

As DJI-Thor said, just turn off "zoom adjusted smoothtrack". This helped me today.
