I'm not trying to be a "D" here, but $1300 for the Prores and DNG licensing key? I've got to be reading something wrong on the Inspire site.

My Blackmagic Design Pocket cinema camera shots Micro 4/3 full Cinema DNG RAW and all flavors of Prores, and the entire camera cost $999.
There is no way each licensing key for eack camera cost $1300!

Is the new x5c (it is c isn't it?) A direct replacement for the x5 or the x5r or both?

I haven't done enough reading on this yet.

DJI started emulating Apple and now it has gone past on visible innovation.
Try to beat their hardware - or go for 5x more expensive European options
The key is bundled in their combo package.
Note that the X5S on its own costs $2.x K  - you can use it with a microSD card if you want to be cheap of course

Prices will drop eventually - e.g. SSD for X5R started at $1500 but are now $7xx

Look, these guys are just learning from Americans and their marketing tricks

Got it, that makes it a little more sane. The way it's worded is that you are paying $1300 for the Licensing fee only.
