I am trying to decide on which to get and need some input.  I started with the Phantom 2 when it first came out.
So I have a bit of experence.  
Have you of you bought a refurbished unit?   If given the choice new Phantom 3 standard or refurbished Phantom 3 advanced?
Any help you can offer is welcome...

Definitely go for the refurbished Advanced. I have a refurbished Pro and they are like new with full warranty.

If either going a good distance is important to you or if your going to fly near any developed areas (with wifi interference) go with the P3A.
If that's not the case and your in the middle of nowhere and /or you going to be keeping it in close (under 3000') than the P3S will work.
