Ticking noise from Mavic??

So I just got my Mavic (thanks Apple!) and hooked it up to my PC to do a firmware upgrade and I noticed when I turned it on there was a ticking noise from it. Like maybe 2-4 ticks per second.

Is this a normal sound? I thought maybe because I had the gible clamp and cover on (figured I wasn't going to actually be flying it at the moment). I took it off but the sound still persists.

Its the VPS sonar.

It could have been the gimble trying to move with the clamp on or the vps.

It's not as loud as the clip makes it seem, but it's certainly noticeable. If it's just a VPS sonar I am a-okay with that@

Mine has the same ticking. I think it is the sonar but I've never heard that on my P4. It flew fine.

It freaked me out the first time I heard it too, but its definitely the sonar module. It's like a bat!

I just flew my Mavic and the noise at start up was louder than yours... perfectly normal

I too noticed the ticking noise today for the first time. Glad to know it is normal. Although mine is not as loud as the sample you put up

Fractures

Mine makes a ticking sound and then if I turn it upside down while its on it actually makes a grinding rattling sound like something is hitting something. Never had any problems with it so Im sure as hell not sending it back.
