Thanks for the information, I have asked for a mavic. Not in Dji, if not in a Chinese trade, (250 € cheaper than in DJI on day 11-11). Probably because of what I'm seeing until the month of February I will not receive it ...
So it's up to me to wait ...
If all the assumptions are true and in April one came out, I imagine they would fix the current problem that DJI has with the distribution and would receive it in June at the latest.

Is to think at least. There is some reason.

Another very different thing would be that the new mavic 2 would leave in September / October of 2017. That would already be a very long term.

Not in my state. As long as one of the two parties know it is being recorded it is perfectly legal. If a 3rd party records the party 1 and 2 without their knowledge, that is illegal.

wow, do we really need leaks on the next version of these drones? You might as well just hold out for the Mav 4 pro released sometime in the future (going by the specs in the youtube chart you probably can figure that one out), or the Phantom 25.  I mean really they are always going to be working on the next version of any drone they put out or any new drone, how soon and inbetween dates varies, but it's up to the person to know what drone they want, when they want it, and how long they are willing to wait for the next version.  Why don't you come up with your own plan and say, I will buy the xx drone now, and in 2-3 years sell it and buy the latest version.  other wise you are the rabbit following the carrot dangaling in front of your face.

Why wait for the April 2017 announcement for Marvic 2 ?     They wont start shipping until December 2017.

Based on the Inspire revisions I can see they will sneak out a few model changes but the overall product will cosmetically stay the same and can't imagine DJI would risk the wrath of early adopters.

This whole thread makes me laugh. All this based on a recorded call with a CSR that does not actually confirm anything. He is only making open ended statements that promote their products, just as he has been trained to do. The only thing I can confirm from this video is that the caller has difficulties communicating his questions.

My speculation...
Will there be a mavic 2? Probably.
When will it be released? Unknown, but likely fall of 2017 or spring of 2018.
Will it have more features? YES!
What will those features be? Probably an upgraded camera and obstacle avoidance, and longer flight times.

But anyone with any common sense already knows all of this.

Mavic 2 in April 2017? Not a chance!

Nothing groundbreak in the call - however, the visual aids made it worth listening(?) to.

Come on there is an elephant in the room, DJI made the Mavic Pro to be inferior to the P4 (Pro) and rushed it out the door to counter the GoPro Karma release (which went poorly without the Mavic's interference). We all know that they will make a second version which will significantly increase the flaws over the Gen 1 (normal in many product cases). Each generation of product will be a bump up over the previous model, but certain generations will be leaps. Gen 1 to Gen 2 often is a big leap in a product's life cycle. So our original author may have been spouting out the obvious, but for others to say "let's wait for a Mavic 2, then a Mavic 3, then...and then we never get one" is just silly. I agree with holding off on Gen 1 early adoption and grabbing a Gen 2 which will add the things clearly missing from the Gen 1 product.

This not a case of waiting on the sidelines and ending up never buying a Mavic, but rather jumping on board once DJI really pours their full effort into the very successful Mavic Pro. To be sure the Mavic Pro is a great mainstream drone (but not having 360 degree obstacle avoidance was a slap in the face of consumers, and I will not buy up to a P4 just to get it .I do not want a P4...not a fan of the white, boring body and cheap-looking simple legs.)

So let DJI make the real Mavic and not the market testing product that they have currently released, and then many, many more will become Mavic owners.

I'm pretty sure that doctor strange 2 will be coming out...In the next couple of years. There, I said it first.

Anyways.... it IS an official leak by DJI because the representative confirms that he has knowledge of the development of the Mavic 2. In addition, I believe my speculation of an April 2017 announcement is accurate. So for those of you who want to know an estimated time of announcement of the Mavic 2, here it is.

Based on the logistics of the development, manufacturing, and delivery process; I predict that we will know everything there is to know about the Mavic 2 around April 2017.

Did you hear rumors about Mavic 3????

Just a guess here based on past DJI marketing....  Mavic Pro means the next Mavic will be a dumbed down version, like Mavic Advanced or Mavic Standard...

So you may be waiting for something with less capability designed to a more consumer friendly price point.

If it fulfill your needs, just buy it. If not, then wait. If you keep dreaming about it every night, get it. You can't be sure that you are still alive by end of this year.
