Hi all,

So I've been flying my mavic, but noticed weird focus problems.

The bottom corners of my shots are always out of focus.

So I flew the drone up 100m, and aimed the camera straight down at a pretty much perfectly level field.

If I focus on the centre, most of the shot is in focus apart from bottom corners. If I set focus to bottom corner, everything else is out of focus. Same camera, same position.

Same problem happens on all of my shots!

I  can only imagine that the focus plane is off somewhat. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it time to return my 2 day old drone?

Thanks

Seems to be plenty of misaligned lenses (if that's what it is).  I have the same but towards the top middle, I've heard of others with either left of right being out of focus.  It does spoil a good days shooting.  I've logged a ticket with DJI and am waiting a response.

yeah I think it must be a misalignment between then sensor and lens. I can't see it being a software flaw..

Hi, as bad as this might sound and you probably don't want to hear this, i think you need to RMA your Mavic.
There has been alot of Problems regarding the Lens.

Try this:
Download DJI Assistant 2.
->Reset to Factory Settings.

Calibrate IMU
RESTART Aircraft
Check for Firmware with DJI Go App
and finally Calibrate Gimbal.

I did all of that (apart from the reset to factory settings).

Yeah I'm reading around now and it seems to unfortunately be a common issue! I'll call my supplier in the morning and send the unit back to them.

I'm hoping I don't have to wait ages to get a replacement..

You have asked your dealer to help you send it back or not? if so, may I know your case number?
If you have not sent it in to them, please help you clarify the aircraft SN, thanks.

I had the same issue and RMA'ed my Mavic with DJI North America.  Should be receiving it back next Monday.

Here's a link to my experience, FYI:

...Also the video posted above is completely unrelated to this issue.
