Copied from over at MavicPilots. Any thought from DJI staff on this one? I'm a little scared to be forceing those in and out of the remote with calibration being sensitive.

Yeah I'm not going to be yanking my in and out like that.

You're going to remove them a few times until they become loose & will no longer stay put.  Then you'll wind up losing one or gluing them in so they stop falling out!

Yea DJI has been pretty consistent that they are not removable.  Only a few early remotes made it out to the public with the removeable ones.

This is correct. The sticks are not designed to be removable and forcing them out could weaken the integrity of the stick.

Sounds to me like they were all built the same way but the early production ones didn't have the sticks "pressed" into place.

I'm not sure what the engineering decision was, but constant removal may weaken the holes in my experience.

Perhaps threaded inserts and replacement sticks with thread would be a solution.
