Hi all

First post - new to drones and just ordered a Phantom 4 Pro with the screen controller and two spare batteries.

My question is are all Phantom 4 accessories compatible with the 4 Pro e.g Phantom 4 charging tray etc.

Next question why would I need the USB charger for £13 is it to charge an iPhone in the field ?

Nd filters, with my DSLR I use Lee Filters is there an equivalent quality and has anyone used the DJI ones ?

Lastly can anyone recommend good sources of info getting started, this purchase has taken me two years so I hope I've made a good choice, I had to cancel the Mavic as it was too long a wait and the photographer/Videographer in me was drawn to the 1 inch sensor as well as more crash protection. Although once I recover from this purchase Mavic v2 will be added to the collection for the ultimate drone kit, inspire's are slightly out of my price range even though they look awesome.

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome

1. Pretty much all of them, you can use all Normal P4 Batteries with the P4P and the Advanced charger is also useable with the new High power Batteries.

2. As you purchased the P4P+ (with CrystalSky) you won't really need any USB Cables.

3. Can't answer that, but it's been said multiple times that with the new 1"CMOS Sensor and Mechanical Shutter, you won't neccessairly need any ND Filters.

4. I would recommend checking out Drone Valley -> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW9JACosTnXzREUzH34Z98A
    And also NeverMindYourOwn -> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD7-sU6X6iO0VcqsMQovGxw

Enjoy your stay

Aloha Ange1,

Can you review this comment you made, especially regarding "Advanced charger"?  Do you mean "P4 charger"?

". . .  you can use all Normal P4 Batteries with the P4P and the Advanced charger is also useable  . . ."

I may be missing something here since I been screwing up lately.

Aloha fans83,

The P4 batteries can be used with the P4 Pro and P4 Pro Plus (+), but I think DJI has commented that the P4 Pro batteries cannot be used in the P4.  A lot is going on right now, so you might want to confirm that.  Also, the screw-on ND filters are for different diameter lenses with the P4 Pro having the larger diameter lens than the P4.

     Hope this helps!

No ... the batteries go both ways.
Any P4 battery in any P4, flight times will vary.

Aloha Labroides,

Yeah, that is why I mentioned that he should check with DJI.  The first couple days were pretty confusing and they got some things mixed up.

Where did you get the both ways confirmation?  They are marketing them like they go both ways.

Aloha Labroides,

Great!  That is what I wanted to hear!  Interesting though that you are giving me a link to tomorrow.  That thread is dated the 23rd.  Hell, this thread is dated the 23rd.  Today is still the 22nd.  It is only 9:30 PM.  And you thought being in the middle of the ocean was easy!  Now, if I ever seem confused, you know I do not even know what day it is!

Aloha Natalia,

Mahalo for the help!  This is good news since I plan to buy a P4 Pro at some point and I have a P4 already.  You might want to see what I wrote Labroides above.

When a P4 battery would be placed in P4P, it would be upgraded to its firmware version. My question is ... what would happen when this battery would be again placed in old P4. would it work ?
