Hello everybody!I have recently got a Phantom 3 Starndard and I have a huge problem with the range.
I usually get around 50-100m (164-328ft.) far at 30m (100 ft.) height in urban areas before it looses signal. I can still control the drone with the controller, but the video feed is gone and the app gives me the "disconnected" warning. The furthest I got was outside the city, far from anything that could cause interference and it was like 300m (985 ft.) at 70m (230 ft.) height.
Is it normal? I am thinking about getting a range extender (the Argtek one) or just returning it (because I am still in the 30 days of the money back guarantee).
I am using the 1.5.7 firmware, the distance limit is set to 500m (1640 ft.) and using a OnePlus One phone.
Your help would be appreciated.

Hello I have a P3 Standard and I have my limits set to 250 meters distance and altitude set at 120 meters. I don't have any problem hiting the limits and getting the message that I have reached the limits. My highest alt is 396 ft. I am using firmware 1.5.7 and DJI Go app 2.9.1. I had a range problem when it upgraded the firmware to 1.6.8 and it killed my video range to about 50 meters. I rolled it back to 1.5.7 and all is back to normal. What version of DJI Go app are you using. I am hearing problems with 3.1.0 due to the phones processor being under powered. I am planning to increase my distance settings higher but due to my line of sight issues in town (too many trees) I have been keeping it low. I am using a Samsung Galaxy 4S android phone.

I used to have the 1.6.8 as well, so I have downgraded to 1.5.7 but it hasn't really made a difference. I am probably using the latest DJI GO because it's set to auto update, but I had the same problem with the older versions too. Also, I think my phone is powerful enough to run the app without any problems.

Have you tried to update the firmware to latest version 1.7.90?
Did you adjust the antenna when the signal starts to lost?

I haven't tried updating since most people say I should stay on 1.5.7, but I minght try, in the worst case I can always downgrade.
And yes, I have tried adjusting the antenna, but as far as I understand, the main antenna transfers at 5.8GHz, and it is not responsible for the video downlink (Please correct me if I am wrong,I am pretty new to this topic).

This my video dji phantom 3 standard. I not using any range exterder and i can fly far away. 500m max altitude and 1200m distance (not max distance but im scare so i just go 1200m distance)
