[size=14.6667px]I remember in the older version of the DJI Go app, the map always defaults to following the aircraft, and shows the line pointing towards "Home".  In my flight today, there was no way for me to get the map to follow the aircraft.  It seemed stuck at "Home".  If I tap on the small map so it expands, there was a symbol I could tap which opened up either "Home" or "Aircraft" symbol.  If I tap on the "Aircraft" symbol, the map will shift around and center itself on the aircraft.  However, it still does NOT follow the aircraft and simply just stays at that point, so when you fly away from that location, the map is just showing the track of where your aircraft has been.

Could you please clarify what mobile device you are using?
You had updated the DJI GO app to 3.1.0,right?
Please record a short video of this issue.

Yes, I am using a Samsung S7 with the DJI Go app, version 3.1.0, updated 25 Nov...  Not sure if the app auto-updated after I came home from the flight though....  I will see if I can do a quick flight tomorrow and record the phone to show this issue..

Are they still using the  crappy Here map over Google maps in the Nov. 25th update? I will not update until Google maps are back in use

Same. More disconnects with latest app too. Downgraded to 3.0.1

Noticed this yesterday. The map on the bottom left corner while flying does not follow the drone. You can expand the map to see where your Mavic is but it doesn't follow it while minimized

Looks like on dji go you can select to center map either on aircraft or home point.
If I knew how to post photo I could show it to you.

That is NOT for selecting the homepoint.. That simply centers the map on either the home point or the aircraft.  That is what I was doing to see where the aircraft was located on the map.  Tapping the aircraft symbol simply moves the map to center on the aircraft, but DOES NOT follow the aircraft if it moves from that location.  There is NO voice saying "Homepoint updated" when you click on that icon.  

I've was just flying today again, with the very latest version of the DJI Go app V3.1.0, and the same problem still occurs, i.e. the map DOES NOT follow the aircraft. It is stuck on the home point.  I made sure to check the Google app store to make sure there wasn't a new version of DJI Go before leaving home..  Unfortunately, I forgot to record the screen from the flight today, but it is basically the same as the youtube video @Ice posted above. I'm going to downgrade my DJI Go app to 3.0.1 which uses Google Maps until this is solved...

new verison released for android today,  Dji go 4 at the app store,   not sure if it fixes it or not,  

The new DJI Go 4 STILL has the same problem of the map NOT following the aircraft, based on this post.

That's why I'm still using DJI Go 3.0.1 and will not update the app until this problem is fixed...

SAME problem here.

P3P and DJI GO v3.1.0 on a Samsung Note 5.

Just flew today, it did that the whole way. Tap the AC icon and it centers, but then fly off the edge of the map and do it all again.

This map glitch was annoying, but the change from Google maps explains why all of my cached maps were "gone". Where did you source a trustworthy copy of the old apk?

I'm having the same exact issue. And why would they get rid of google maps?!? These "HERE" maps are slow loading and totally outdated. Maps of the entire Boston metro area are least 5-7 years old, & there are entire developments not even showing on the satellite maps. Unacceptable when flying. DJI please give us the option of what mapping service to use this change is just ridiculous

I noticed the map didn't move with the drone also. I thought it was strange but this is new to me. Litchi is moving with the drone and I really like that.

If I had to take a guess, it's that Google probably sent them a legal cease-and-desist notice for using their maps. Therefore, forcing them to take Google maps off especially considering how long this issue has been going on for. They've had multiple updates released since this issue first popped up. Again, just a guess.

Best to uninstall your current version before installing the APK so it's a fresh install..

I had been seeing the same issue as others.  However, today I noticed that it was now tracking the Mavic correctly.  I'm using DJI Go 4, whatever the latest version is but I don't think it's the new one that is only out for iOS.  Mobile device is a Galaxy Note 3 that is not activated with cell service.  

I had a blank map on my P3S DJI GO version 3.1.0 I could see a faint flight path lines on the white map but no map would work.

It looks like the auto following map has returned for version 3.1.1
However, the "here" maps are still, ah, there.

Glad the maps show in newer version.  I haven't updated the go app yet though because everything else seems to be working very well right now.  Hopefully Google maps will make a come back.  DJI???

Amy updates for this problem? Has anyone found a solution? The maps are not following on my Phantom 4 Pro+.

The newest version of DJI Go 4 on android is following the aircraft now... Which version are you using?
