Unlike other DJI drones the Mavic does not have the clearance to freely rotate the camera to the right with a ND Filter attach. Any filters that cap over the camera will prevent the cam from turning fully to the right. Unless you're using a paper then overlay that some up hooks on the left side.

I purchased a set of filters off of Amazon for the Mavic, I will be returning.

Umm for reference which set? I saw another set on ALiExpress that does not have the conventional flange part sticking out past glass which would interfere with gimbal initialization. But instead is flush against lens. Might be a better option.

I purchased the polar pros 6 nd set, I haven't heard of any problems with them. Just gotta wait an find out.

I must admit that having flown with the Mavic only for the last 10 days, I'm anxiously waiting for the ND filters to be released to help with the image capture quality.

The major thing holding me back from (pre)ordering, is the fact that these are press-on filters (pressure mount) vs threaded. No choice, I guess because the Mavic camera doesn't accommodate. I'm interested in seeing some initial reviews as to the fitment and quality of the lenses (Polar Pro and PGY-Tech seem to be the only major contenders currently). Issues about lens clearance and camera initialisation as raised above don't really help either.

That said, am sure (and hope) the ND manufacturing team have done their homework on the following. I'll just have to wait another month or so once the initial reviews come out and the pre-order back log clears before I can get mine.

Is there a list of ND Filter manufactures that cater for the Mavic?

The main one i see is PP but is there any competition with filters that can pass calibration?
